I have a wife, but she won't let me get a girlfriend.

Has apies ever tried to get a girlfriend?
Is it possible?
Will NT girls accept an aspie?
As for my own situation, I am very childish in some situations, especially when sleeping (cuddly toys and fidling with sleeping quilt).
Will an NT ever accept that?
Is it possible?

I've had several. Just not at the same time of course.
As far as the childish things go, you can control it and it shouldn't really matter what you do in solitude behind closed doors.

Of course, with a lot of persistence, integrity, and utter commitment to looking for a relationship.

I just found this forum; it’s so nice to interact with society for a change.
Just as background: I was essentially a member of the “Different” crowd in high school. After waiting and moving back and forth on the subject for four *** years, I asked one girl out in HS during my senior year. It lasted one class period.
Go me!

Im not going to back down erkolos;no matter how much he harasses me. Cos that would only make me look weak.
Sometimes its better to be single than to be in a bad relationship with someone who constantly jerks your emotions around.

hi
I'm not Aspie and I have a male friend who is Aspie and he would like a girlfriend too. I joined this site to see if there was a way of helping him.
Please tell me what NT stands for, I assume that's what I am and I'd like to know what it means.
Part of my professional background is in interpersonal skills training and there seems so little help for adult male Aspies to engage in full relationships with women that I"m wondering if there are training courses out there somewhere?

Too many people making judgements. Let's cool it man!
Well, I don't see why any of my taxes should go towards state sponsored brothels or the like. If people want to go to those places, they should use their own money and not expect the taxpayers to fund them. Going to a brothel or seeing a prostitute is a want, not a need. There are way way more important things we Aspies need funded first.
How about vocational agencies, affordable housing, legal advocacy services, and pensions? I think state sponsored brothels should be right at the bottom of the list - what a silly, silly idea to think taxpayers should pay for them.
Most people who go to prostitutes are married, anyway.
Walking Bear, I wonder if your wife is aware of how you are thinking. If so, no wonder things aren't so good in bed for you. I wouldn't like to think of my spouse/boyfriend wanting to do it with other people and especially getting paid.
I also wonder if you really are Aspie. I would have a few doubts.

I worry that in the future I will no longer be forced into these situations where finding a girlfriend is easy (all scenarios have been out of my control), and that in the future I will just be secluded to my own little world.
This is exactly what has happened to me.
It's not comfortable to go anywhere without someone, and yet, I cannot meet anybody without going somewhere.
It's a problem.

But my teenage years were hell and I never cared about meeting anyone anyway. I only started seeing people because I thought thats what you did. But hey... two awful relationships, an enforced debt problem by one using partner, and a heap of trust problems aggravated by the other later, here I am in one with a woman I want to spend the rest of my life with!
So it can happen.
So it can happen.
Very cool. Best of luck to you both!
