It can be seen by posts on here that sometimes it can work ok, there must be people on here that have succesful realationships, sometimes it is a novelty thing and then down the line it falls apart, sometimes it does not work out right from the start.
All I need is someone with plenty of patience.

Quintucket that sounds like the relationship between Mandy and Irwin, on The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy.

I LOVE that show!!!

I have been in a relationship with an NT and with an Aspie.

My first girlfriend (the NT one) cheated on me.  And, unfortunately, I bumped into her on MySpace just a couple of days ago.

My second girlfriend (the Aspie) was very nice, but the relationship was long-distance, and I was busy trying to finish college, and she had some family issues.

As for whether an NT or an Aspie is better, I can't make an unbiased decision because the NT girlfriend cheated on me.

i have always found it hard,but i think i..may..have..achived..success.

i met this girl, steph,in the college library.she dresses all in black like me,and is very pretty.
and..i think...i may have..a girlfriend..for the first time.

its not offical yet,as 'the question' hasnt been asked, but i know NTs rely on nonverbal cues to detirmine such things.

This is ho i was at college, I jsut asked her to come round one evening and we saw each other from then on but no one asked anyone out so the concept of having an anniversary "date" as such did not exist.

I think my parents are an aspie-aspie pair.

We were having this discussion last night, does someone with As or depression or whatever need someone around them that is not like that?

Conclusion?

aspie + NT = nt person needs to be understanding
aspie + aspie = more understanding there and less expectation

I have a date tomorrow, with another Aspie woman.

Maybe this could be my third relationship...

Tim
My date went very well today.

No. Anybody with the actual diagnosis of AS can NEVER get a significant other.

I am diagnosed, and I have been in two relationships (and possibly entering a third one).

If your wife did let you get a girlfriend…then you’d feel cheated; or rather as if you had cheated.

Pretending your wife is your girlfriend cane spice up your marriage (or so I‘ve heard). Smile

Where did that extra e come from?

cane...no I wasn't suggesting and S & M activities....although...

I’m afraid to say I think tenaciouscj is right Guesswho.

You really do need to throw away that list.

There are so many wonderful ladies out there--and to my mind, your ‘list’ excludes some of the best.

Switch off your head--open up your heart--it’s the only way you’ll find someone.

And it won’t be the someone you thought you were looking for.
Opps posted the above on the wrong thread---apologises.
all i know is that Valentine's is gonna suck... DX

GuessWho, if you moved to Britain you might be able to meet up with Aoelienne.

It wouldn’t be that hard for someone to move to relocate too or from the US, Canada, UK, Ireland New Zealand or Australia. We all speak the same language--have similar cultural traditions.
And aspies are use to being a little outsiders.
