How peculiar, thankfully your coworker explained it to you - but I can see how in the business world it would be hard to tell the difference. After all it's normal to invite male colleagues for drinks, from what I can gather.
It was an invite for drinks at his place. :-) My god am I dumb.
I buy food items that are approacing expiration date if I know I will likely use them before they expire (or can at least convince myself that this is so), even when there are later dated items of same on the same shelf. I hate the idea that they may go to waste.
I might add that this has led to my unintentionally giving my children slighly soured milk on more than one occasion.

Oops... I used to *not* buy nearly out of date stuff when the local supermarket was having problems with their chillers, because I'd bought so many things that were off I became wary. They work great now though 
Some of the chillers in the shops in New York were so bad (when I lived there) that milk that should have had a good week or so left to it would be already spoiled, still in the chiller.
(this thread certainly has gotten off topic, hasn't it? Perhaps I should post a picture of spoiled milk?)
Believe it or not, but I used to be shy about taking self-photos, but when Maria wanted to see what I look like, I spent a good few hours getting used to my new digital camera. I took about 40 photos in total, and picked the best ones to send to her.
Sometimes I try to look seductive and tease her with my photos. When she saw my new ones, she said I looked like Ben Affleck - that's a nice compliment!!
I know I haven't got the 'perfect' physique, and Maria doesn't care about that - but I don't look bad for someone who's only been to the gym nine times in their life!!
Why? That's a classic pose back from 1995 taken during her DeConstruction years.
As for krispyg76 - yes, the red-eye was on, but it still happens with some people - all photos of me turn out like that, no matter what camera is used.
Well I'm 27 - and don't feel it either!

You see, she's in the Philippines and I'm here in the UK - things like photos, messages and calls keep us going until I see her for her birthday next year.
Electric Dragon, I just realised who you look a bit like (especially in the lower picture) - the guy who plays Xander in Buffy.
Well, that's whoever Xander is and also Ben Affleck that I look like - I wonder who's next?

She just came up to see me (why neither of us has been on for 4 days) - best 4 days of my life so far.
Wanted to KILL United Airlines - her flight coming up was cancelled, and the one she was rebooked on was delayed. Spent 6 hours pacing back and forth around LaGuardia airport... waiting, checking the arrival board every 5 minutes...
She finally got in about 12:30 AM, and we got any sleep that night
