Am 18. Juni dieses Jahres findet der erste Autistic Pride Day in Deutschland statt. Aspies e.V. feiert und ihr seid eingeladen: zum Autistic Pride Sommercamp in Kassel! Von Donnerstag, 15. Juni bis Montag, 19. Juni treffen hier sich Aspies aus ganz Deutschland, um sich kennenzulernen und auszutauschen.

Der Autistic Pride Day wurde im vergangenen Jahr zum ersten Mal international gefeiert. Wir wollen daran anknüpfen und auch in Deutschland die Gelegenheit dafür bieten, dass Asperger-Autistinnen und -Autisten durch gemeinsame Veranstaltungen und Erlebnisse ihre Identität und ihr Selbstbewusstsein als Gruppe wie als individuelle Personen stärken können. Dieses Jahr lautet das Motto des Autistic Pride Days: "Feiert neurologische Vielfalt!" Wir laden ein zur Diskussion über das Asperger-Syndrom, das Autismus-Spektrum und neurologische Vielfalt und suchen gemeinsam nach vielfältigen Selbstdefinitionen, auch jenseits medizinischer Klassifikationen. Geplant sind Workshops, Vorträge, Spiele, Ausflüge in Kassel und einfach nur unter Aspies sein und eine schöne Zeit haben. Wir werden ein Programm ausarbeiten, ob oder inwieweit man daran teilnimmt, ist selbstverständlich völlig freiwillig.

Wir werden auf dem Campingplatz Fulda-Camp übernachten, der zentral in Kassel liegt und dennoch in schöner Lage in einem Naherholungsgebiet am Fluss Fulda. (Du kannst dir aber auch unabhängig davon deine Übernachtung selbst organisieren, s.u.) Verpflegen werden wir uns selbst, d.h. wir machen reihum Küchendienst in kleinen Gruppen. Keine Sorge deswegen, wir wissen, dass viele Aspies keine großen Köche sind und werden das so organisieren, dass es möglichst einfach und für alle machbar ist.

An- und abreisen wird jeder individuell. Ihr könnt euch aber z.B. in eurer SHG oder mit anderen Aspies aus eurer Nähe absprechen, zusammen zu fahren. Mitfahrgelegenheiten können auch im Forum von Aspies e.V. organisiert werden. Dort findet ihr auch aktuelle Diskussionen zum Sommercamp; nachdem ihr euch zum Camp angemeldet habt, bekommt ihr diese auch zugeschickt.

Das Autistic Pride Sommercamp kostet 55 Euro für Mitglieder von Aspies e.V. bzw. 65 Euro für Nicht-Mitglieder. Darin inbegriffen sind die Übernachtung auf dem Campingplatz, Verpflegung sowie Fahrkarten für den öffentlichen Nahverkehr der KVG im Stadtgebiet Kassel. Die Anmeldung wird gültig, wenn die Teilnahmegebühr bei uns auf dem Vereinskonto eingeht. Kinder und Jugendliche können in Begleitung eines verantwortlichen Erwachsenen teilnehmen; Kinder unter 14 Jahren zahlen nur 45 Euro. Wer eine Begleitperson braucht, muss selbst eine mitbringen; die Begleitperson muss sich ebenfalls anmelden.

This year on June 18th the first Autistic Pride Day in Germany takes place. Aspie groups celebrate and you all are invited to Autistic Pride Summercamp in Kassel, Hessen, Germany. From Thursday the 15th to Monday the 19th, aspies from all of Germany can meeet each other here to get to know each other and exchange (Darmani's note: exchange what? I don't know).

Autistic Pride Day was celebrated for the first time internationally last June. We want to begin to offer the chance for that in Germany, that aspies and autistics can boost through both the day's arrangements and experiences their assertiveness with groups and individual persons. This year, the motto of Autistic Pride Day is "Celebrate neurological diversity!" We invite you all to discuss Asperger's Syndrome, the autistic spectrum, and neurological diversity, and jointly search for various definitions of self, and also medical classifications. Planned are workshops, lectures, games, trips in Kassel, and simply being among aspies and having a good time. We will elaborate a program; whether or how long one wants to attend it is completely voluntary.

We will spend the night at the campground Fulda-Camp, which is in central Kassel, still in a pretty recreatingal area close to town on the river Fulda. (You can also arrange your own, independent accomodations.) We will cater to ourselves, that is we will institute kitchen-shifts in small groups. No worries then, we know, that many Aspies are not great cooks, and it will be organized so that it works for everybody.

Leaving and arriving is up to every individual. You can <z.B. in eurer SHG> (Darmani's note: couldn't translate that due to acronyms ) or arrange to come together with other aspies. Rides can also be arranged by aspie groups. There you can find actual discussion about the summer camp; after you apply to the camp, you'll have something sent to yourself.

The Autistic Pride summercamp costs 55 euros for members of aspie groups, and 65 euros for non-members. Included in that is staying the night at the camping ground,  and tickets for the public railway system in urban Kassel. The registration will be in effect whenever  we receive the attendance fee. Children and adolescents can attend in accompaniment of an adult. Children under 14 only pay 45 euros. Whoever needs an assistant must bring said assistant himself; the assistant also needs to apply.

Well, thanks a lot for translating the text. Im kinda disappointed that it is a meeting for German aspies only. I would certainly find people to discuss with in english or french, but still, i would feel pretty alone...
