if you have cable/satliete and live in the united states, espn is about to do an autism peice on sportscenter, and i don't like it aldedy. it says that we have been afflicted...probaly a curebie story.

the story was about surfer's healing, a camp for autistic children. the camp sounds overall like a good idea, it's not a treatment or a cure, but more like a place where the familes can get away from the everyday struggles of socitey for a day and enjoy their familes and be happy. it did have the sappy music and the whole autism tradegy bit in the beginning, but it was mostly curebie free after that. it was a bit better than i expected...and from what i've seen, surfer's healing does not really promote curing autism.

I can see that it would be good to stay healthy and keep fit, and of course have fun.
Plus it works on something that the kids really love and encourages safe and responsible risk-taking.
