At Autism Speaks, our goal is to change the future for all who struggle
with
autism spectrum disorders.

We are dedicated to funding global biomedical research into the causes,
prevention, treatments, and cure for autism; to raising public awareness
about autism and its effects on individuals, families, and society; and
to
bringing hope to all who deal with the hardships of this disorder. We
are
committed to raising the funds necessary to support these goals.

Autism Speaks aims to bring the autism community together as one strong
voice to urge the government and private sector to listen to our
concerns
and take action to address this urgent global health crisis. It is our
firm
belief that, working together, we will find the missing pieces of the
puzzle.

Autism Speaks. It's time to listen.

Are you a bot or are you just ignorant?
gotit, what is your purpose in posting this?
i see his point in posting this.  it's autism speaks way of trying to make the sports fan think that we are suffering from some type of disease...and sports is a great medium for autism speaks to put their eugenic message across.

i don't like the mets btw, i'll probaly do something to conteract this though.  don't know what yet.
The problem is that this is their first post and their is no comment on the story at all. In the past we have been spammed with chelation and ABA therapy - it seems some people just google for autism and mail any email addresses they come across
oh.  i understand.  but this kind of thing (mets teaming up with autism speaks) is very disturbing.  if the braves did something like this, i would use this as a medium to protest.  i think this would have done better in the action against pro cure groups fourm.  with "eugenics support month" approaching, we'll need to make our voices heard.
Maybe this person was posting just so we could be aware or possible write letters of protest or something. I don't think we should jump to any conclusions just yet. We'll have to see.
Umm, who or what is a mets?
Alison
As far as I can tell, it's refering to The New York Mets. A major baseball team, apparantly.
