i was so curious, i went and checked out the etymology of 'catharsis'... it's from the greek 'to purge'... which we usually associate with 'the pukes' (to be tactful!). but then it could've meant any of those bodily functions freud was so overly hung-up on, right?? yeah, the man was close, but he needed a couple more hobbies, i think... :wink:
