A TEENAGER who sexually abused two young boys at Warwick Castle has been made subject to an indefinite hospital order under the Mental Health Act.
The judge also ordered that 19-year-old Daniel Lowe, who had two earlier indecency convictions, should be banned for life from doing any paid or unpaid work with children.
Lowe, of Frobisher Close, Hinckley, who had pleaded guilty at Warwick Crown Court to two charges of sexual activity with the seven-year-olds, was also ordered to register as a sex offender for life.
Jane Sarginson, prosecuting, said that last August Lowe, who has Aspergers Syndrome and hyperactivity attention deficit disorder, was taken by his parents to a family day at Warwick Castle.
Among the crowds attending the event, which included the demonstration of a giant catapult, were two seven-year-old cousins and their families.
The boys got separated from their families when they went down to the river, where they saw Lowe - who had gone off after an argument with his father - throwing stones.
Lowe talked to them and got them to play a 'truth or dare' game which led to him assaulting one of the boys.
The boy managed to get away after a struggle, at which Lowe turned his attention to the other seven-year-old and did the same to him until he also managed to escape.
The father of the first boy had been looking for them and saw his son running towards him, hysterical, with his cousin shortly behind.
Lowe, who had previous convictions for indecent exposure and inciting a child to take part in indecency, was detained by the second boy's father, and he was interviewed in the presence of his own father.
He told the police he could "not really tell you" what had happened in front of his father, but confirmed that what the two boys had said was true, added Miss Sarginson.
James House, representing him, said Lowe had been with his parents, but his father had not been able to go after him because of a relative who was in a wheelchair.

as much as I agree with your hatred of paedophiles I have to say that this may not have been planned he may have encountred this behaviour before and mimicked it it is basically the same with bullies how many bullies have themselves been bullied?
But it could also be a case of him being a very sick person and this kind of thing may have been in his nature.
whatever the cause the only way to reform him is to try and find out why this happened If he is a good person it will come through and he will learn from his mistake.

there's certain crimes from which there's no going back, and pedophilia and rape fit the bill. It's entirely possible that some rapists or pedophiles might be made to understand their actions enough not to commit the crimes again, but at the end of the day, it's just not worth the risk. Especially when other people that haven't committed these crimes have limited access to therapy.
Understanding and support can go too far. At a certain point, a person can be detrimental enough to society to warrant removal from society via life imprisonment.

t be honest i have said things like what rossco and lestat did out of pure hatred but to be honest If you kill them then you are as bad as them they should be locked away not killed It's easier in the long run to take them moral high groundand instititonalize them.
once they have figured out why he did this attack they can begin treatment to erase his paedophilia and then when / If he is psychologicaly stable or safe he can either be released or be incarcerated.
Paedophiles have one of the highest rates of recidivism of ANY offenders, they will always be paedophiles, no cure sadly, I'm just inclined to view the kids and parents rights over those of sex offenders.
The only thing a con or ex-con hates more than the pigs, is a sex offender, killing is too good really IMO, they should be tortured for the rest of their natural lifespan.

OK, Anbuend, you make a fantastic point, perhaps I posted in haste, I have an attitude towards paedophiles partly gained in jail, it changes a man, so they say.
But, and big but, when is it safe, truly safe, to release a nonce, of the worst kind, those who compulsively seek sex with children? usually, never, its like homosexuality in a way, that its ingrained, and not something easily altered (before anybody jumps on me for the comparison, I am talking from a psychological point of view, both are at basic, sexual preferences, and pretty deeply wired in.
They DO have more or less the highest rate of reoffending of any kind of offender, and aside from being mentally ill, they require punishment of the sternest kind.
I am personally against the death penalty, its just my first instinct when it comes to child molestors, is 'kill! kill! kill!'
That said, if I had offspring that I knew, and they turned out to be a nonce, they could forget about me ever visiting them in jail, or sending money, I would cut them loose from my family, and whatever may come to them, would come, and damn me if I wouldn't be delighted.

The death penalty for rape and murder is fine by me.
Gareth, while I do agree the death penalty should be suitable punishment, I recently read something that really clicked with me that changed my mind. It went along the lines of future murderers and rapists knowing the result of their crime and so doing more than they would have since they know they'll be put to death. Instead of one kill they'll make it 6. I mean, why do they care, they'll die soon by injection.
However the worst torture would be to live the rest of their lives in a little cell with no chance of parole, sitting there until they die....eating that same crap food everyday, getting picked on by other prisoners or locked in solitary. Why should they get the easy exit of being killed quickly when they can die a little inside everyday, spending 35 long years (or however old they are) rotting to death in a jail cell.
This may be a novel aspect, but I happen to think that the two kids who were molested by this pedophile should be given the counselling and help, not the pedo. Pedophilia is a sexual preference, like being straight or being gay, so pedophiles can't be cured. Why should we pay for them to be kept in comfort, fed clothed and given therapy, when a knotted rope could solve the problem?
