We have designed a leaflet that can be handed out at any protest against CAN to give a basic outline of the reasons for the protest.
It is designed to be printed on A4 paper and cut in half to produce two leaflets per sheet.
It is in the library section of the site available to download.

Here's the link- http://www.aspiesforfreedom.org/index.php?page=library

There is also a general information leaflet for download too. That can be used to give out at any protest.
It wouldn't work! Why don't all the people on here that live around where they're walking just constantly annoy them and scream at them until at least half give up? I hope there's not some loony law against that.

:!: Mich :?:
Well there are laws about that kind of thing Mich, we want to educate people, and peaceful protest is one way to do that.

I was saying that the leaflets won't load!

Protesting was WAY more effective before all these laws were created...

They loaded for me.

so is the idea to get professionals to understand aspies dont want to be changed, (except for medical probs like epilepy and depression which are add-ons and not literally part of a aspies wiring).

I think we boycott the proffesionals, set up loads of fun and cool events, just get involved and send out positive messages, ignore the negative messages, even ignore the ignorant peopleso they are forced to learn if they want to join in. we'll get and then we;ll show 'em.
My moto is "show, don't tell"

Also are there many aspies or autistics who are actually unhappy because of literally having AS and would rather be cured?

Im very tired so rambling again
Have you heard of autistic pride day?

The idea is similar to what you describe, enjoying ourselves in some form, he happy with who were are.
We have had a few petitions, but not one for the minority issue yet. Does anyone want to set one up?
You could do that, or use petitiononline.com

That is an automated petition. Its quite easy to use.
We are going to try and put a petition on this site.

Tee-hee..looney law. o.0 <--- loon

I just thought about something that might work to protest against Autism Speaks. Either t-shirts, or leaflets that say "Autism Speaks does not speak for me!" Then explanation towards why Autism Speaks, only speaks for their needing funds and animosity towards people on the spectrum. Like you could say, "Autism Speaks only for themselves, and their priorities" or something.
I am going to use some of the flyers to protest outside a rock concert that is giving some sales proceeds to CAN.   I also wrote a letter to the band.  I will try to get there early and find the tour bus or some staff of the band.  I will not be staying until the concert lets in because there will be too many people and it will be too dark.
Yeah, the library is apparently not moved over to this server yet, just like the autism wiki
