This is about a year and a half old, I really still wish I had the time and resolve to be into this. I used to produce a lot of acid techno and hard trance (mainly influenced by people like Chris Liberator, Dave the Drummer, Spacegirl, John '00' Fleming). Then again I've always kinda persevered with d&b I'd made the start of at least 30 tracks but never actually finished any - took untill a couple years ago to actually get 2 that I was hyped enough on.

Anyway, this is something I did at home with a Yamaha RS7000. It's my remix of Prisoners of Technology - One Two. I had another more hectic track that had the 2000'ish staccatoed log thumps and a little bit of the oldskool cycling bass from a No-U-Turn realease called Amtrak and added a little more bite to that (I wish I had the synth capabilities to do it myself but no such luck). Unfortunately I've only been able to post 1 at a time with my 10 Mb free space. I could try usendit or megaupload but I'd rather just email it if anyone finds themselves that interested. Anyway, here' a link to the Prisoners of Technology remix:

Just an update, I got Reason 3.0 today after visiting a friend from work. I was on his PC and I'm not joking, within just maybe 2 or 3 hours of there I had something that I wouldn't mind mastering. I'm having a little bit of installation trouble though, hopefully I'll get that straightened out in the next few days and who knows, I'd love to get this track up somewhere. As it came out this track's not real heavy but it's definitely dark etherial intelligent, kinda like that track Commix put out on MHZ 05.
Nice!!! Sounds like your twistin' em out pretty well. Just out of curiosity, what are you using as far as hardware or software's concerned?
Yeah, reason's a pretty tight program - I'll probably be posting the one track I just made a few days ago pretty soon. Only thing that irritates me is since I don't really know that much about Reason yet or the .wav recording options I had to make a loop from line out to line in on the back of my PC - doubt it cracked up the sound quality all that much but I'm sure there has to be better ways.

On the Sequential Circuits Pro One though, that's also pretty nice. I remember seeing a guy back in 1999 named TR Generation who had a real good hard/acid trance live PA (real hectic stuff) and along with his 808, 909, and 303 he had one of those he was jamming out on as well.
Ok, here's a new one I just made; not the one I talked about before but still, I'm pretty happy with. Only that bugs me, I really need some good percussion construction kits. I've never had a knack for getting loops in character EQing-wise so I need real good individual drum hits to make my beatz with. For d&b Reason unfortunately doesn't have much. Enough said though:

5 PRYME - Wendigo

Hopefully my next one will have just a little more variance in percussion.
DJ sims links don't work anymore, is there anyway to hear what was there?
I love creating music - had been doing it for almost 15 years. Most of my early material no longer exists as after my father died, a lot of the possessions in our council house was sold to pay for the funeral and stuff - the stuff that got sold included my Yamaha DX7, Korg M1, Yamaha NS-10M monitors and Fostex 6 track recorder. I didn't think about trying to obtain all my masters as I was too upset after the death.

I did, however, go through a phase of giving my songs unusual titles which showed that Jean-Michel Jarre, New Order and Pet Shop Boys were amongst my influences in both naming songs and the actual music itself. This is a full list of my music from 1990 to 2007:

Mind Over Matter
One Night In Tokyo
Moomba (Let's Get Together And Have Fun)
Meilleur Que Moi Me Connais (Better Than I Know Myself)
Decade Of Decadence
Guardian Angel
She Makes Me Wanna...
Drive On
Time Frequency
Digital Universe
Dreamtime
Analog/Digital
Choose Your Destination
Stop Hankin' (Get Crankin')
Hidden Identity
Fairlight Fantasy
Suburban Girl
Return Of the Impossible Princess
Absinthe
Angel Sexy Diva
Kylie And Dannii (Together In My Bed)
Heartbreaker
To Know Me Is To Love Me
Moving On
Sound Generator
Annihilation
Hikikomori
The First Of A Million Kisses
I Would...Would You?
Double Fantasy
Maria Nesa
Mahal Kita (I Love You)

Out of all those, only two songs still exist, Maria Nesa and Mahal Kita (I Love You). This is a real shame, as some of my earlier stuff was actually rather good, and on several occassions I performed in school concerts dressed like some sort of mad keyboard player wearing pink, white and black!!
