Heres a link to an article about a doctor who ran an instituition for autistic kids in the fifties. In the future will people look back in the same way to some of the "treatments" and views that doctors use now?

well thta guy was in idoit. i hear dhe killed himself after so of his theories were discredited.
Yes he killed himself, but not because he of having his theories discreditted. He'd discussed suicide fredquently for the previous two decades. His work was really only discreditted after his death. That is, opponents had already spoken, but Bettelheim was not exposed as the monster he was until he died.
Bettleheim is ancient news but he wasn't sufficiently discredited while alive because the professionals are chicken. Same with Loovas now.
