I think that benefits for people who don't work should be there to support people who cannot work due to illness, or because there are not enough jobs. I think that people who are well enough to work have a responsibility to try to do so, even if it is in a job that they don't enjoy.
If they think you aren't trying to get a job, they will think you are just lazy and will stop your benefits. This is a fair system. If there is a genuine reason why you couldn't cope with this type of work, you need to explain this to the Job Centre.
