I am organizing a bi-monthly meet-up group for in southern California.  As far as I can tell, there is only one other, which mostly for parents of autistic kids, and that is in Orange County.  I am 25, an autistic student and interested in all things philosophical/intellectual/artistic, especially literature and science.  Everyone is welcome and I am new to this and very shy.

Also, will be going to Autreat (Philadelphia) in June and welcome a travel partner/s for driving or flying.  I can drive but I would prefer to fly.
Cool poster--the DNA, with the colors you picked, looks vaguely like the infinity spectrum symbol.  I hope you get some attendees.
Thank you.  I hope so too.  I just plastered my school with it and people who have been rude to me in the past are now walking around as if I just walked out of a burning ring of fire   .  hehe.
You might get more takers at Caltech (which is in Pasadena, where FNF lives)--a nerdy place if there ever was one
   Techies, after aspies, are my most favoritest people.  I have spent many months of my life wandering that campus and wondering if I'll ever be able to go, hanging out with the frogs and krayfish in the ponds, thinking, about the student body, "what do they have that I haven't got?  Aside from small butts and adequate funding."  I'm going to apply next year as soon as I have fulfilled the physics requirement.  Crossing my fingers that my academic standing will make up for my shyness, strange interpersonal skills and non-verbosity.  Thank you for the suggestion, I think I will post the flyer there too.
Go for it, I say.  As I recall there are tons of bulletin boards all over the campus. You could also consider giving the fliers to the counseling service, as they may see people who could benefit from your group. Ah...Caltech...the memories warm my heart.
I'm in San Pedro, and looking to join or create a support group.  Is there anything in existence, or should I get one started?

best,

Joel
