...And that ignores the complex social interactions present within primapes and some quadrapedal mammels.

Though not the primary topic of the book, Biological Exuberance: Animal Homosexuality and Natural Diversity by Bruce Bagemihl, Ph.D. does touch upon the fact that some animals (or at least mammals) have alot more social intelligence than they're often given credit for.
What about Emotional Intelligence?

There are tests based on that, and they are pretty much on par with Intelligence Quotients. I do quite well on these when I take them, and I think it's because of how much I have learnt and can pick up.

What about sea creatures like whales and dolphins? They have social interactions too.
