I found this transcript of a chat on "Dietary Interventions: GFCF and Beyond".
Its to advise parents on diet etc for kids with autism, I was horrified to read parts of it.

"Mommyo {public msg} Can you put vitamins in frozen pops without losing their potency?
Maximom229 {public msg} vitamins........
Maximom229 {public msg} Ok, there is a nice way to teach them and a not so nice way. The nice way works about 5% of the time. The not nice way is effective about 70% of the time. Ever given a cat a pill?
Mommyo {public msg} This is not fun.
Maximom229 {public msg} Lay him down on his back, use GFCF butter to grease the pill, cram it as far back in his mouth to one side as you can.
Mommyo {public msg} I hate autism.
Maximom229 {public msg} Flood his mouth with water and plug his nose.
Rebecca Attempts to comfort Mommyo.
Maximom229 {public msg} Be prepared for him to bite your finger. The feeling comes back in about a week - trust me. He will spit the pill out, and you will cram it back in.
Mommyo {public msg} lol"

What the hell are these 'experts' thinking????

That's it, I'm officially declaring war on all humans. Specifically NTs. Who wants to join me in the vanquish of them?
It's a piss-take surely?
Look at the link and site, its 100% genuine Gwyn, and its sickening.
That's it, I'm officially declaring war on all humans.

GET IN LINE, I was here before you.

I hate to break the news to you guys but you are hu...

Unless you are taking this 'furry' thing a little too seriously
While it may look like I'm a human, I'm not. No, I'm a fox...

Annihilate all humans! ANNIHILATE!
Greetings,

What I suggest we do is get as many of us as possible to attend their next chat which is on the 1st December at 9pm eastern us time which is 2am GMT (so be prepared to stay up if thats past your bed time).

Technologies to lessen the distress of autism - that should be a riot...

We need some kind of plan though - all of us storming in with abuse and ketting kicked out isnt exactly productive.

Since it's a couple of months away, what about planning it at the Novermber meeting?
Excellent idea wolfy, if as many of us can go as possible, and state our views calmy, then they wont have an excuse to kick us out. We'll dicuss it at the November meeting as you said.
I must say: WTF!?
Hmm..  Why do I recognise someones style in that transcript...
Tell us more!

Onegary {public msg} Is the diet a all or nothing thing- can we do the diet somewhat does a little help?
Maximom229 {public msg} It's like being a little bit pregnant. Either you do it or you don't. 100% compliance or it's wasted.
Ron {public msg} yuk
Onegary {public msg} What about just no dairy or is this just a good way to start- would you go cold turkey.
Maximom229 {public msg} We set out a plan years back......
Mommyo {public msg} Can you recommend a good book for beginners who want to get started?
Maximom229 {public msg} Week one remove all casein.
Maximom229 {public msg} Week two remove all wheat.
Maximom229 {public msg} Week three remove all oats.
Maximom229 {public msg} Week four, remove all barley etc.
Maximom229 {public msg} Week 5 remove all soy.
Onegary {public msg} Thank you

If Onegary did that, I hope his kids went psycho and attacked him for a diet like THAT that pretty much cuts out almost everything. Pretty much all these people on there are ignorant. Here's all I have to say:

Intelligent {extremely belated msg} Let me guess...week six, you nasties remove all food but chewing gum, right? That is just so sick.
Intelligent looks around and notices she is way too late for any of those ignorantios (new word) to listen.

:!: Mich :?:

Two members did go to their next online meet up, and explained to them our views, they said that they would take logs and put them on their site, but we never saw any or heard anymore.

What I would like to know is how these people are fit to be parents?

They most cerainly aren't.

Besides, if someone put me on the GFCF diet, then I'd be miserable. Most of the foods I like have something in them that's prohibited in that quack diet (soy, wheat, pasta, potatoes, etc.).

I can see some sense in restricting a particular food or two if it is definitely shown to cause a bad reaction eg. stomach pain, diarrhoea, etc. but otherwise, "fad" diets can cause malnutrition and thereby do more harm than good.

GFCF is a fad curbies like to try on their kids. Good thing I was never on it (and likely never will be).
