My question is where did they lose their braincells, apparently the logical one of being a good parent to a child got lost somehow? I'm a mother and I would never do that to my sons. Makes me wonder if I'm more human at times than most of these people I read about on parenting boards.
What I would like to know is how these people are fit to be parents?

Ya know...I wouldn't even medicate a goat with that method. There is something called drenching, where you use a soda bottle or some such to pour a liquid medication down the goat. One has to be careful, because the liquid can easily wind up in the lungs and kill the goat. There are long handled pill dispensers that push the pill into the goat's mouth far back enough that it's harder for them to spit it out, and your fingers don't get chomped on. But....mixing the two....forcing a pill back there and then forcibly pouring water down the kid...it sounds like a good recipe for a dead child with a pill in their lungs.
And then I wonder whether these meds are even really necessary??!! :evil:

This just shows that some people shouldn't have children, especially with our personality quirks.
I can see some sense in restricting a particular food or two if it is definitely shown to cause a bad reaction eg. stomach pain, diarrhoea, etc. but otherwise, "fad" diets can cause malnutrition and thereby do more harm than good.
Mich, my parents were too busy bringing up 7 kids to worry about fad diets. We ate what was put in front of us (well, most of the time). I enjoy my food too much to go on any fad diet. If I knew something would make me sick, I'd avoid it but otherwise, it would be too much trouble.
I did go on the GF diet (the CF diet too would have been too much) and it did help a bit towards how hyper i was, but the food is discusting! the bread actualy BOUNCES! i hope I never haveto eat that stuff ever again... although the tescos GF biscuits are nice...

Gah! I couldn't eat that shite if I tried, not that I've ever tried, but from everything I hear, it tastes like rabbit food that has in turn, been made from chemically reprocessed cardboard, diet food usually does, I tried 'quorn' once, textured fungal protein, that was about as bad as it gets
