I agree.
I created it myself in Tux Paint.

Thank goodness for that. It happens to be on my blog.
Amy thought the orginal image would be offensive to some people, because of the words "Literally rock with us in June" that went after "Autistic Pride Day".  So this is a modified version.  I'm going to start a poll to find out if the words are truely offensive.

Amy, are you soliciting and intending to post designs from whomever contributes--i.e. so that there would be lots of colored infinity designs displayed, or are you looking for just one, among all the submissions?  (I think having lots of different ones could be really cool!)
Oh, okay...maybe I'll do a collage.
If there are to be lots of them, then what's wrong with darkcode writing his slogan on his design--it wouldn't be representative of any "official" design.
I don't know how to post an image Sad I have one...can anyone tell me how to post?

I could post it on devart, Amy, and you could copy the image from there? :?
What a shock. I just went to post this image on Deviant art, and there was a HUGE contract that came up (first time I've seen it, it must be new) that essentially gives them rights to all work posted, for electronic reproduction and "by other means", including publication.    I need to check into that, I might have to pull my account there.

Sorry...if I can get a webpage going before Autistic Pride Day, I'll post that way. Sad
Thanks Gareth, it's on its way

Copyright to AFF to use as you like. Let me know if you want the bigger version, it's 1714x680 pixels.
SassafrasTea, that's great!

I love all the rich colours in it.

The bigger version can be a banner or a screensaver, can't it?

It could be displayed at the London Science Museum when you all go.
Thanks Bronwyn, I enjoyed making it very much, it was fun Smile It would delight me no end to think it might be useful.

I hope there will be lots more of these submitted, its a fun design to have a play around with. I based mine on a moebius strip, not the same as the infinity sign, but I believe I read it was the inspiration for the infinity sign.

I think there's a lot of room to be creative with this Smile
I was wishing it was taffy

I'm tempted to have my son make one to submit, he'd enjoy this. I need to find time to put up a website soon, though, so I can put stuff up on the web first (and not overwhelm kind site owners with hosting my pics heh heh...thanks for that  )
Building upon SassafrasTea's idea, wouldn't it be great if we could sell the ribbons to eat?
What sort of stitching should we do it in, if we wish to sew?

Thanks, Amy!

I'm thinking my son might also want to do something for Autistic Pride Day.

I think that's a lovely idea. It seems fitting to involve our families, especially our children, in some way. dadman, I hope you'll post your son's work, I'd love to see it!

I was trying to think of something my son would enjoy, and thought a mobile would be fun. If we took a piece of card stock and coloured straight bands of rainbow colour across both sides, then cut it into strips we could make a few moebius strips and hang them from the string Big Grin

We made a mobile one year from a colourful paper plate and stapled the string to the edges, and threaded yarn through a hole in the center to hang it from the ceiling--that eliminates having to use wooden cross bar type things. I think my son would have a blast making something like that.
