DR Phil did a show today on aspergers. He called it an extreme neurological disorder, He talked about william freud, He had one family with a 15 yr old boy. His father recounted how is afraid for his and his wife's safety.
It was very negative. so negative you would not want to be identified as someone with aspergers

I was angry. They would say that anger is due to my impairment tho. I feel it was nothing more bigotry. Dr. phil called it a disease and arranged for the boy to have a scan of the brain. I was almost bouncing off the walls.

They are bad parents. DId you see the show?? They show them yelling and accusinfg the kid that he was going to harm them just becaise of a meltdown
I don't understand why people watch Dr. Phil. For me, that's pretty much like asking to get upset. As someone said above, he's one "doctor" who has never been taken too seriously on this side of the Atlantic. And yet still many people seem to think he's some kind of "expert" in every single field imaginable. Ugh.
Dr. Phil deserves to be chained to the back of a car and dragged across the Northern Territory. He deserved it before this show, and he deserves it now.
Given that he does not even have a doctrate in psychology, I find it aggravating that we cannot get up on national TV and denounce him to the rest of the world. :twisted:

Okay... I wish to write this formally and send it to both the Dr. Phag site and CC it to some address where AFF can publish it. Basically, I know not how the show went because the series is not easy to see on television here. But a formal complaint while pointing out the facts (such as the endless barrage of abuse) would be a big step.

Unfortunately, Dr. Phag does not get messages unless they are either convoluted beyond belief or delivered on the end of a fist. But we can add our voices to stand side by side with that poor guy and overcome.
