I think Anti-Americanism is growing due to distrust unfortunately in the US goverment and their actions in dealing with many other countries. One country can't go around dicatating the actions that other countries should take in certain situations because the people of those other countries may not agree with it and that has been shown. I really don't like how they are so quick to go into military action based on very inconclusive evidence at times it seems. I'm Canadian by the way. I also studied political science and have watched politicians and known some and not all are honesty and trustworthy as some people tend to believe.
yes iv'e come to learn that some NT's really try to understand and some are well idiots but it is nice to know there are those who aren't ignorant or pro-cure towards us
neuro typicals are ignorant i believe. VERY.

i think there are about 90% of ignorant sheep who like to put things into little boxes, and 10% who actually use their brains in this world.

my life's quest is to find that 10% ^.^

Hi AspergerWonder12.  I see you are new to the forum.  Welcome.

You should be cautioned that bashing of any neurotype is not something that is done here.  Possibly you would do well to read the beginning page which talks about the forum and its goals.

Many people on the forum are NT and they provide a great contribution to the forum, and we all work together here.

That said, I believe that a LOT of people in general are rather ignorant, regardless of their neurotype.  If we strive to educate people, and have open hearts and open minds, we can change the world and end the ignorance about the Autism Spectrum.

No NT bashing here. Some neurotypicals are ignorant. Not all. There is a minority of NT people on this site who contribute positively. You are including them in that sweeping generalisation.

Yeh watch it I am an aspie and my wife is NT, so I have a foot in both camps.

Hello AspergerWonder12...please keep in mind that this site welcomes NTs as well as autistics, and you might meet some here whom you like and respect. Smile

Hi, new poster Aspergerwonder12. I see that you are posting what seems to me some frustrations. Perhaps you found this thread and a thread title using the word ignorant and figured others might chime in?I think that the rules have been made more clear lately, so the old threads that you might see these kinds of things written would not be allowed anymore.  Be careful about labeling whole groups of people based on a your experience.  Better to talk about the specific preson or persons that you are having issues with. I think you will find more people supportive.

You do have to be careful not to hurt people's feelings... regardless of whether one is on the spectrum.

The actual definition of ignorant is not too bad, but the way it is usually felt when aimed at someone is not good.

Definition of: ignorant  (ĭg'nər-ənt)

adj.Lacking education or knowledge.Showing or arising from a lack of education or knowledge: an ignorant mistake.Unaware or uninformed.

Thesaurus: ignorant (Adjective!)

Without education or knowledge: illiterate, nescient, uneducated, uninstructed, unlearned, unschooled, untaught. See knowledge/ignorance.
Exhibiting lack of education or knowledge: backward, benighted, primitive, unenlightened. See knowledge/ignorance.
Not aware or informed: innocent, oblivious, unacquainted, unaware, unconscious, unenlightened, unfamiliar, uninformed, unknowing, unwitting. Idioms: in the dark. See knowledge/ignorance.

Thank you, ocampo, for saying that. AspergerWonder12, you ought to be ashamed of yourself for saying that all NTs are ignorant. My father is speaking out against curebie hype and he's NT. My friend knows I'm autistic and says that I'm perfect just the way I am. That's one reason I have a crush on him. And you insulted both of them. Again, shame on you!

I generously assume the "12" in AspergerWonder12 refers to his age. He spent less than two hours total on the board, necrobumped every sh!#-stirring thread he could dig up, and cranked out 35 drive-by posts, many of them similar to this one in tone. Angry kid, probably bullied and pissed off.

If a whole bunch of people deride you for having this opinion, you can have some comfort in knowing that I agree with you wholeheartedly. AspergerWonder12 says that all NTs are ignorant. I say AspergerWonder12 is the ignorant one if s/he* is spouting such negative and intolerant things about everyone. I know some NTs that are ignorant, but I also know some that are a credit to our cause. Again, AspergerWonder12, shame on you for insulting my father and my friend!
*s/he is used purely because when I looked at AspergerWonder12's profile, there was no specification of gender at all

I think both NTs and autistic people have been ignorant to me lately.
OMGOMGOMGOMG
That is the truth of tolerance ...  YOU for president!!!!!

Give others as many and more chances than you are given to understand.... and understanding takes place... keep talking amazing person!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a real position of loving power.  You found it!!! thank you!!!!!  You are love in a beautiful package.... even if you don't get all twitterpated..

I've found the perfect way to "come out as an aspie" Smile I mailed about the petition against CAN to my whole adressbook (which contains about 10 persons, including collegues).

I didn't expect any of them to sign, but 3 of them already did. And it made me wonder... I'm not talking about people like in CAN who say that autism is epedemic, but i think most NT's aren't ignorant.
How can i blame them of ignorance, while they just are having a hard time trying to understand me and i even fail in understanding them myself. Why blame someone for not understanding? Why blame someone for not doing what i can't do myself?
