And for the other people that haven't heard of Prader-Willi: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prader-Willi_syndrome
I knew it was on but I did not watch it. I have a very low opinion of Television at the moment, so I watch very little. I find it quite amazing after removing my self how negative almost every thing seems when I occasionally switch back on.
We have a long-running programme here in Australia called "Funniest Home Videos" where people send in recorded pratfalls, etc.

I can't watch it, even the ads for it make me cover my face.  It was on once at my mother's place when I was there and my brother-in-law and sister were laughing uproariously at the most horrific stuff.  I burst into tears and had to go into the kitchen to stop watching.  My sister didn't understand - she came out after and tried to explain the funny side by saying "But didn't you see the look on the person's face when they realised?"

The look to me had seemed to be sudden abject terror that they were coming off their bike at speed/falling off a roof they were fixing/being attacked by the family dog, etc.

From the little I've seen and ads the programme seems to be entirely about people getting hurt in accidents.  Probably the most unfunny show I could imagine.  And yet we aspies are supposed to be the unempathetic ones. :?

That was a terrible article, I can't believe a quality broadsheet like the Observer would print something like this.

Oh, they will just so long as it is against those who cannot speak out or retaliate, or who have nobody to speak out for them.

The author seems to be justifying the bullying of someone because of how they look.

She watches 'Reality TV'; there is probably not much should wouldn't stoop to. That type of career-*** probably has absolutely no inkling of what it is to bring up any child, she's too busy pursuing a career.

She actually sounds like an adult version of the spoiled cheerleader who only got anywhere because of the misguided value systems of a seriously dysfunctional society - the sort of society that will countenance the creation of television programmes such as Big Brother or 'entertainment' intended to humiliate it's participants.

Unfortunately, this 'journalist' or 'reviewer' is one among a clamouring brigade of parasites feeding o the carcass of this rotting society.

"Funniest home videos" annoys me on several levels. Much of it isn't funny if it involves people and animals getting hurt. There are a few funny ones but they don't always win.

It seems to me a lot of the material is from overseas and is old and rehashed.

I don't like the silly voices and the "boing" sounds and the compere's fake and inane smile is something I find irritating too.

So all in all it is a show I wouldn't bother going out of my way to watch.
