The link between Asperger and creativity is by now well established in many academic "circles".
A good and enjoyable reading that I suggest is "The Genesis of Artistic Creativity. Asperger's Syndrome and the Arts", by Michael Fitzgerald, a professor of clinical psychology in trinity college, Dublin but also one of the main researcher about Asperger in Ireland (and a professed Aspie himself  ). In the book he explores the life of many famous artistic personalities who, according to him, were also Aspies. Very interesting.
