Well, it's the first time that i've heard some comment about NT's talking about ASS- people. Do they really mean what they write on the forum? Are NT's really that narrowminded. THey seem to find EQ (=social skills) far more important than IQ (intelligence):

Quote:
Natuurlijk is EQ belangrijker dan IQ. Zo'n kind moet toch vriendjes en vriendinnetjes van haar leeftijd hebben.

With this they kept on debating on the forum how people with high IQ's, lacks those EQ skills. They filosofising how it would be like to be an 12 year old at university. And there were mostly negative responses (jalouzy (?) i think):

Quote:
Dat meisje heeft geen leven...
The girl has NO life.

Quote:
Het lijkt me als student echt afschuwelijk dat er een meisje van 12 in je klas komt en die dan gewoon hogere cijfers haalt dan jij....0_0
I seems to me that it must be terrible/horrible if a 12 year old getting higher marks than you.... 0_0

One even said that he will immediatly change school, if he ever comes in a class with such a young schoolmate. (well he cant stand people younger than him doing better)

There is even a worst one:

Nt's seem to have an image of those high IQ people, that they probably could develop when they grow older, into an irritating, arrogant, @#$%# b#tch
IQ Einstein, personality Adolf
(you know that german dictator of WWII)
[/i]Really bad.[/i]

And this one:

Quote:
Lijkt me niet erg gezond zulk soort mensen. Ben benieuwd hoe ze over 10 jaar is.
I dont think they are quite healthy, THOSE KIND OF PEOPLE. I wonder how she would be like after 10 years.

Quote:
Heel knap natuurlijk, van haar, maar het is toch niet goed.
- Geen vrienden, etc.
Very smart of her of course, but it STILL ISNT GOOD. - no friends etc...

One even insulted the parents that they 'stimulated' the child to much in one direction (Well we all know that is untrue)
One used this icon ( ) to indicate that one of those people comes from the same village as him.
Hate is all around us.....

It's down to different perceptions of reality Link! Here's a discussion for those who are interested (and my post on page 2 is particularly relevant :mrgreenSmile   : http://www.musicmademe.com/asp/viewtopic.php?t=273

It's a sad fact of life that society is driven by the people to whom emotional considerations are paramount; they subsequently lay great store on social skills, and seek to impose them on others as, if having acquired the social standing they think they deserve, but no one else acknowledged it, then it would be essentially worthless!

This is why, with hind-sight, my headmasters at school hated me; if they told me something that I disagreed with, then that's how it remained! To them, the whole point of being "the boss" is so that one can force others to agree! Such people cannot see the point of, say, wanting to understand why stars go nova etc., they can do nothing about it so it is of no interest. To them, "reality" is about gaining power over others, and they can't understand any other view point.

Example; check out the job ads for engineers and you'll often find a reference to "making the move to management". Managers assume everyone else wants to be one, and when I told my bosses expressly that I didn't want to compete with them, they assumed I was lying, and gave me loads of pointless grief as a result. This is the real reason companies prefer younger employees (forget the "dynamism" crap, it's pure marsh gas) as they know anyone who's not a manager by age thirty has no desire to  be one, and so is not subject to their control; if you don't care about being "promoted" then you've no reason to pretend that the boss is anything other than the jerk he is in reality, and they can't stand this! It doesn't matter if it's true or not (such, to them, is unreal) as they became bosses in the expectation that they'd be automatically admired as a result.

Not all NT's are like this; in fact most hate the whole business, but, being able to read the signals, they know what is required of them, and don't dare to behave otherwise. Aspies, on the other hand, tend not to catch on (and tend not to care once they do; it's contrary to our "reality") and so we get actively discriminated against as a result.

So should we try harder? Problematical! I find it very hard to admire a class of people who's whole intent is to exploit others to the utmost, who can never have enough wealth (there are always more expensive status symbols available...) and will seek to acquire more even as the world is starving, or even as the environment is collapsing about our ears ("tommorrow" is not part of their "reality").

Frankly, the people who drive this interpersonal-skills claptrap, are an unrepresentative minority, and scum. The world would be a much better place without them! Are NTs the problem? Not directly, but they do have an unfortunate tendency to believe what they are told and to respect and obey "authority". Perhaps we can educate them out of it?
Einstein had poor social skills(by NT standards) but a good sense of humour and was a genius, concerned for human rights and against war.

Hitler had very good social skills, oozed charisma, lost his sense of humour the more he got into politics and hated intellectuals, which is why the Nazis burned nearly all the books in Germany.

I think the contrast is obvious.

Pol Pot hated intellectuals too, and no doubt other dictators did also. It's because they might question the authority of the dictators or at the very least, fail to be subservient drones.
