I'm developing this theory about two of the characters on a show called  the Gilmore Girls.  (for those who don't know it, a light drama about a close mother-daughter relationship).

The characters Rory and Paris seem to me to be Aspie-ish ... serious-minded, don't have (or need) a lot of friends, logical, academic.

The difference between them is that Rory's differences were valued, loved and supported by her family, while Paris was neglected and left to be raised by nannies, having to fend for herself.  Rory becomes a well-adjusted person who embraces and uses her qualities, and Paris becomes cutthroat and socially vulnerable.

Just some random thoughts - anyone else a watcher?
I watched a few episodes, but it got too sachaarine for me. Lauren Graham has far more Aspie-like characters around her in Bad Santa.
