Dear Rep. Jones,

I am the parent of a six-year old boy, Tyler, who was diagnosed with autism at age three.  I know firsthand how devastating this disorder is and I urge you to help us find the causes of autism, effective treatments, and hopefully one day a cure.  The autism community is united in an effort to gain funding for vital autism research through the Department of Defense appropriations bill.  Autism research remains underfunded and we need as much new federal support as possible to tackle this disease that has increased tenfold in the past decade.  Please support this initiative that will help unlock the mystery of autism.

Sincerely,
John Smith

This is a good example of their shameless attitude, "the autism community is united", therefore claiming to represent all autistics, and suggesting that people say "I know firsthand how devastating this disorder is", though the writer is a parent, not someone on the spectrum.
They encourage parents to mass mail these letters to get funding, and play on ignorance to achieve it.

That perfectly represents how society is mostly. Other than that, I can't say anything good about that example e-mail CAN gave.
