Hi Stoney3K,

I also believe the term "pride day" is associated with the gay movement , and I also fear people will confuse between us and them.

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only autistic who dislikes the term "pride day"  :smile:

I wonder what other autistics on this web site think about that term.

How about "Autistics' Celebration Day" ?
Being gay is indeed mainstream compared with autism -

I'd side with those going for 'Pride', since that definately is worded in the favour of AFF. Sure, a natural part of who you are, but can't you be proud of who you are? I'm sure many who celebrate 'Gay Pride' would consider their homosexuality inherant. I celebrate my intelligence which is probably semi-inherant. Many minorities celebrate pride in their cultures with holidays.
