This will be a project similar to ISNT (http://isnt.autistics.org) to create a series of DSM-IV entrys for the purposes of parody.
Some ideas for normal-spectrum conditions:

* Hyper-sociable disorder
* Stim-deficit disorder
* Non-verbal language disorder (body language)

any other ideas?

Once we have a few ideas they'll go on the wiki (with a disclaimer stating they are meant as parody) and then be released as a PDF and protected on the wiki. This PDF will become the basis of all "educational material" for use on NT awareness weekend.
Wouldn't it be better to laugh at ourselves rather than at others if we want them to listen to us, we'll have to make it entertaining or it might not register.
Thrillseeker, we wrote to the guy at ISNT but never got any response, oh well.
Perhaps we could use some of the material from ISNT - but not sure about copyright issues there.

If we get permission from the original authors we can use some of their work as a starting point.
Time is of the essence Thrillseeker, people may or may not get the joke, they may never hear about it, but we can enjoy ourselves anyway.
Its not an internal AFF thing, its just that we decided on it in the meeting, and its just for fun, so theres no problem.
How about Sheer Ignorancing Disorder? They all seem to suffer heavily from that...

Yes, I've had a bad day.
Who wants to post the first mock DSM-IV entry then?

They need understanding for all their many faults.

That is excellent Lili, we were thinking of having a guest NT coming to the site to talk about their experiences and how being an NT affects their lives. Maybe we could give them some advice on how to be less socially dependant.  :wink:
Kev said "I even tried using PECS by holding up a picture of a can of beer and pointning to my mouth but she just responds with sign language of her own."

:groupjump:

Great getting into the spirit Kev.  :wink:
Cure Unfortunate Neuro Typicals was suggested as a charity...but the acronym is...erm... :lol:
Kevin, some people who come here may be NT or undiagnosed aspie, or somewhere in between, such as traits.

Some people have a child on the spectrum, and after reading a lot of info begin to realise that they may actually be on the spectrum themselves (the autism genes come from somwhere).

Kev *might* be in that position.
