This is no ordinary Christmas tree. It’s based on one of the special symbols that we use to help children with autism communicate. As many of you will know, autistic children can find Christmas a very frightening time with new and confusing things to deal with and huge disruption to their routine. For parents it is heartbreaking to see their children suffering at what is meant to be such a happy time.

I don't get it--why is a tree with a repeating pattern of blinking lights a special symbol? Can someone please explain this? I mean, what does that image have to do with communication, or how does it help autistic children to communicate?
I hate MoneyMas because there is nowhere to escape from the herd crap of it all. I have no idea where to go or what to do for most of December. My life is already difficult enough to endure, so why should I have to be in constant overload so the normie b****** can celebrate?
Well, I don't mind the text - it's normal fund-raising style, I think. And they tend to have an underlying "you're such a good person and for that you surely will donate" tone. That's kind od psychology. It's the same as a lot of pets-rights organizations or child-help organizations used to send personal address stickers for christmas and asked for a donation. People should feel obliged to donate for they got something for free.
I don't understand the christmas tree, either.

I always loved Christmas, still do in fact. The tree on the card was okay, but the flashing lights were a bit off-putting: I couldn't stare at them too long, they'd give me a migraine.
Merry Christmas!

I've heard of this guy who celebrates Christmas every day. Wouldn't it be funny if he turned out to be an Aspie?!
Nice joke, Sjöjungfru
I call such jokes "high functioning autistic humour"

Has anyone actually heard Andy Park's song? He said in the newspaper article that he hopes to be Christmas number 1. But I don't think I have ever heard of the song, and it hasn't been played on any of the radio stations or music channels I listen to. So I'd be surprised if it even reached the top 40, with no promotion.
He seems like a great self publicist, with very little story or talent behind it.
That's why I am dubious that he really does have xmas every day.
Oh well, no doubt all those sprouts will be good for his health - they're full of folate and fibre...

They might also cause him to fart repeatedly so he mightn't be too nice to be near.
