I love our dog (a highly intelligent highly sensitive sometimes clumsy nervous control freak border collie)
yes, dogs and owners do resemble
but I love our three furry cats too!!
I also love rats and I love lizards too. Actually, I love sheep a lot too (highly sensitive stress-sensitive and quickly frightened of sudden noises movements etc, they do make good compatible friends!) and I don't think they're dumb or obedient at all... not the sheep I knew at least, pfffffff, what a lot hehe
Actually I like all animals, that's why I don't eat any of my distant family
i love dogs, i have 2 that are very important to me,..
but im certainly not a social person,.. and Pablo takes care of that, he hates strangers, paticularly kids and tradesman.. and Andy barks for the heck of it... but hes really a freindly dog..
they always arrive at my side wagging their tails seconds after i wake up...
I love cats, especially ordinary mongrel types.
I find dogs too demanding, intrusive and noisy.
what about bird people? I used to own a bird who was totally social and then later he'd be totally wanting to be alone and doesn't want anything to do with me... or anyone else!! But he did need lots of attention!
I currently own a cat, who is VERY social, and constantly wants to meet new people... except dogs... he's terrified of them, and that's the only reason i don't have a dog at the moment, well that and money!
But i'm an animal person... not just a dog, cat or bird person!
does this make sense?
That's really cool. Whenever we're petting my dog she does that, but she's nothing aproaching low-key! She had some psych issues, though, because she was taken away from her mother too soon. I used to wear this hooded sweatshirt with a drawstring, and she would always try to suckle from it, poor girl
Is she a golden retriever? Goldens are wonderful! As for pets with psych issues, my former landlady had a mighty strange cat, an orphaned feral kitten whom she adopted when he was only 5 days old. She loved & coddled him, fed him with an eyedropper, could not have been more sensitive to his needs...& he turned out to be a little horror! Not ALL the time, just when you'd least expect it. He had a way of scratching & BITING people with no provocation & no warning; I used to call him Hellzapoppin! One evening my landlady had friends over for dinner, and this little brat, for absolutely no reason, clawed & bit one of the guests; then the foster puppy freaked out & wet the floor. The party broke up shortly thereafter...
i dont know what i whould be, but i think im hybrid, kind of dogcat? :?
i can live as loner as well as in pack, but dont like to be a loner for long time and pack either.
:? :? :?
All the dogs I've ever owned were goldens, my first was given to me Christmas the year I turned one--we shared everything, chewtoys, water, everything. We were puppies together

I think there is a cartoon called Catdog? Half cat, half dog. But its a dog
on one end and a cat on the other end.
I have many cats and dogs.
I am a loner. My best friends have always been my animals -- dogs, cats, and horses. I've had quite a few of each. Right now I have 2 Australian Cattle Dogs (and I have bred them, producing 5 litters of 6 puppies each). From dogs I have learned how to look another living creature "in the eyes." I never did that with people, until I got a dog, which, believe it or not, taught me to make eye contact. Horses are like Aspies; they do not like you to look them in the eye, as they assume you are looking at them as a predator. They prefer that you look at them with your peripheral vision. My current horse is an American Quarter Horse mare, with whom I have a mutually trusting relationship. I will not force her to do any training or riding style that causes her distress, and she will not do anything to endanger my physical well-being. I had many cats, which I love because of their purring and their soft fur, but when the last one died (from old age), I entered such a state of grieving over him that I have not been able to get another cat since (and that was three years ago.)
I love cats! meow!
I used to hate dogs the loud barking scared me to death. But I don't mind quiet dogs.
Cats. I don't know if dog lovers are more sociable people. Not something I've found, but I am a cat person and also a loner. But I like dogs too. Don't see why some dog lovers have to hate cats and vice versa.

You're right, Paul. There is. It's by Nickolodeon (Not one of their best efforts) but I used to watch lots of episodes when I was at uni.
Neither neither neither! I hate comparing people to animals.
We are animals. We are primates. We are a widely-dispersed species of African great ape. What is wrong with admitting to that? What do you have against animals? Why insist on some magical status for the species H. sapiens.
Yup. In fact, genetically we are not only closer to chimpanzees than to gorillas (eg) but chimpanzees are closer to US than they are to gorillas. Cool, eh?

A dog bit me the other day as I was riding my bike. I think he was a puppy and just got overexcited to see someone riding past him on the walking track. Perhaps he just wanted to play. But now I got a big bruise on me where he bit.
