DW, all the will in the world won't help you if your boss has it in for you and I don't think Payoola should have to kow-tow to her boss if that boss is so incompetent. I don't know any easy answers unfortunately as there are far too many bullying bosses around and because jobs are hard to come by they can get away with their bad behaviour more easily.

Thanks for the support

A recent update:  I'm about to take my boss's behaviour and treatment of me to the union, because the animosity toward me in this workplace has spread to her colleagues.  I got back from my holidays to be greeted by an email where another colleague made false accusations against me - she did this when I was on vacation and couldn't defend myself.  My boss then gave me a nasty lecture, without having confirmed her story.

Fortunately I've kept all the emails that were sent, and have proof that I didn't do anything wrong.

I think that ppl who behave this way are very ignorant indeed.  I'm trying to keep my approach on an even keel though, which is usually pretty difficult, but this time I'm doing pretty well

Basically bring to the attention of management what's been happening, set some boundaries, establish trust, do some problem-solving around how to communicate better.

So never fear Energeia, I won't be going in expecting the impossible.

Can't expect much more - fortunately it's only a student job, so in the end I can leave.  But having that reference on the way out would be nice

Finger's crossed it goes well next week!  I'm going to stay cool.   Cool
