Anyone else into the Marx Brothers? Got a favorite? I like Harpo the best. I'm really into pantomine in general and love Charlie Chaplin as well.
Favorite Marx Brothers movies: Duck Soup, Night at the Opera
Favorite Chaplin: Modern Times
Interesting aneqdote: Salvador Dalí met and became friends with Harpo. He wrote a script for the Marx Brothers called Giraffes on Horseback Salads. It was never produced because MGM thought it was too surreal. More on that here: http://www.miskatonic.org/dali-marx.html
And now, a couple Groucho quotes:
"I don't have a photograph, but you can have my footprints. They're upstairs in my socks."
"Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana. "
"Why, I'd horse-whip you if I had a horse."
