I don't often post here, but am I lurker I confess, but I would like to post my son's story that has made our local paper, although not entirely accurate (I have sent my comments to the editor about this) it still however highlights the discrimination my AS son has experienced in getting any education, thanks to the wonderful inclusin banner of todays government and LEA's.

There is a section to comment at the bottom, it has already attracted many comments from around the country and I am hoping a national will pick up on it at some point.  Obviously this is not a place to troll or otherwise, but if you feel you have something constructive to contribute I would greatly appreciate it.

Unfortunately, the page has either disappeared from the archives or is broken. I searched the site and didn't have much luck.  Sad

I am sorry to hear you have had such a frustrating experience, but appreciate you sharing the article.

My son is mainstreamed, and it is working well at his small and close-knit elementary school, but the next level, where the school is so much larger ... I have serious concerns.  So, I can understand why you didn't find the public schools acceptable.   It is a shame school districts can't do more to meet the needs of all their children.
