This is necessarily a self-selecting conglomerate of people who have access to a computer connected to the internet, who are able to understand how to use it, and, what is more, have a desire to interact with other people and are able to do so.

We must at all times remember those who are unable to have a voice here, or who might not have thought of communicating with others like themselves, or, indeed, anyone else at all.

Here here!!

When reading what I write, it is important to remember that it is all the work of a man who has endured decades of what would be called abuse if it had been done to children, adolescents, or even adults, with a more visible disability. In my mind, peace with the normie community is a fool's dream. So it is probably not that I am offended or anything, just overloaded.

I have been having a lot of conversations with the parents of autistic children in the past few months. Many of them are terrified by what the future holds, especially with the total lack of resources that adult Aspies like myself have to report.

I am also reminded of a statement that one of my old colleagues made about me. Essentially, their opinion was that they had to learn to listen. In a prolonged fight, for example, everyone is screaming or at least very excitable because of their adrenaline. I was whsipering. Always terse little statements like "engaging X targets", "target Y is a better fighter than the rest", "objective completed, returning to travel point". Point being that it is not so much a problem with speech as a problem with the listening.
