CAPSAICIN!

I'll sometimes eat bread with Tabasco sauce on it.
That's easy

Tortilla chips with cheese sauce (I looooove cheese sauce, and I make the real stuff, on the stove with milk, butter, sharp cheddar!!!!)

You can also load on the guacamole

Macaroni & cheese, the REAL stuff, not boxed...sometimes we have it at work.  Chicken breast with buttery mashed potatoes.  English muffins with butter & jam.  Hershey's chocolate milkshakes.  Pasta dishes, rippled potato chips, cake, buttercream frosting (yes, by itself!), grilled cheese sandwiches, in fact anything cheesy or buttery.  Chocolate ice cream.  Brownies with cream cheese swirled in.  Semi-sweet chocolate chips slightly melted in the microwave.  Waffles with butter and REAL maple syrup....... *goes into a food trance*
tea and toast
M, we both have good taste!

And I have just remembered another comfort food: shepherd's pie...so hearty, so rib-sticking, with its crusty potato topping...  *absent-mindedly pats a sheep*
Homemade pizza and Bacon and scrambled egg bagels!
on saturday night and sunday morning, respectivley.
wow, never tried scrambled eggs on a bagel, must try that
I don't mind the eating too much.
The cooking is kind of heaven.
From getting all the incredients ready through preparing the kitchen to the act of cooking itself.

It fascinates me that someone could find the act of cooking comforting Smile Do things turn out well for you, then? Do you follow recipes when you cook and/or are you creative?

Yes, what did you think?
But I also improvise, as long as it stays in a certain pattern.
Polish caramel cupcakes or Slaska

What is a chef's ring?  It says to put the fish/sauce mixture into a chef's ring.

lol

I don't actually know!!!

is it some type of tool?

if so just follow the recipe without the chef's ring that what I did when I made it.

Yeah-it sounds like a fancy type of tool perhaps to get the food to look organized on the plate? Like I have one of those lying around my kitchen Smile The recipe does sound yummy though!

We use to have condensed milk with fruit as a pudding when I was little. I still like it even now. Smile

One of the best simple condensed milk recipes I know is for an orange fruit dip:

1 cup of condensed milk.
1 teaspoon of grated orange rind.
2-3 tablespoons of orange concentrate.

Mix the above - voila! Then slice up some apples, and use as a dip...
