Hi everyone!
In the USA, tomorrow (thursday) is Thanksgiving--a time to give thanks and appreciation for all the gifts one has received, and a time to honor the goodness that life offers.

I'm truly grateful to Amy and Gareth for establishing this forum, to all of the people who have posted here, and for the fact that noone (yet) has told me to vanish, or be different, or be less self-oriented, or anything else that would make me feel rejected. Posting here, and reading what others have said, has stimulated an amazing amount of self-reflection for me.

I am now, at age 55, declaring myself a self-diagnosed Aspie--and using this interpretative concept to understand, and have compassion for, people and experiences from my past that heretofore have been painful or bewildering. Aspitude explains a LOT!

I'm grateful that the combination of good genes, good family, great friends, and available opportunities has enabled me to function pretty well in the world, all things considered.  All in all, I think that it's a good thing that I was not diagnosed ever--I might not have tried so hard or achieved as much.

In sum, thanks for letting me be myself with you all!

Energeia (actuality...coming into myself..from the inborn potentiality)
I dont know if people say 'happy thanksgiving' or something that like to each other in America, but I hope people have a nice day if they choose to celebrate it.
I have asked a question in the cooking forum relating to Thanksgiving too.
While I'm not an american, giving thanks to those who deserves it is always a good thing, in my opinion. I'm grateful for having friends and family who supports me and loves me, and I'm also grateful for finally getting the education and help that I need. It really means a great lot to me.
