I was thinking about ordering SpiritBands for people with ASD. Maybe we can do something with AFF? The bands would be in the sweetest shade of orange, of course Smile

Hi Stoney, we had a poll about these bands some time ago as we hoped to order some.
The most popular color was blue, as orange was representative of something else I think, and the most popular phrase was 'celebrate autistic pride' I think.

The problem we had was that the bands would have to be purchased as a minimum of 100 or so, and then mailed out to people around the world, which would take planning, and a large cost up front.

We hoped to find a company like cafepress where people could order direct from a company the chosen color and design, but we havent found something like that for bands so far.
Wasn't orange the color used by Aspergia already? That's why I chose orange (and there's also an orange wristband with the message 'respect to all', which I think fit together quite nicely - neurodiversity and respect)
Orange bands could cause problem for people in northern ireland

Let's not go for orange then... blue would also be a good option. I prefer navy. Smile

I think it is a great idea but a blue band could get confused with these:

Not sure why but apearently severel orgonizations chose blue.  Maby to represent their stupid ideas that autistics are cold and unfeeling (my appologies to those I offend with that comment).

I think can also has a blue one but am not sure.

Just a friendly suggestion but why not use two colours instead of one colour (for instance orange and black)? That would avoid most confusion with any other causes or symbols that are around and could make the bracelets easy to be recognised by people. It would also avoid conflict by just using one colour.

By the way Orange is sort of already recognised as a colour for Aspies ,unofficially by Schott's Almanac- which is currently on sell. They did an article in the Guardian on Tuesday so that's how I know.
Red armband with a white circle in the middle, stick a autism symbol in the middle

=p
I think a rainbow wrist band with Aspies For Freedom and the Infinity sign etched into it would work.

But it might look a lot like a Gay Pride wristpand and people might get confused.
