on the flip side, fish these days is going to contain higher levels of mercury in the past, which not good for one's brain.
tidbit I haven't been able to confirm from anywhere is that autistics don't have the ability to eliminate mercury in hair growth either, so extra intake of mercury might be worse than for other people. *repeat* I haven't been able to find any more about this than the one place I saw it in passing a few weeks ago.
Yes, i know...
It beeps and you think to yourself "in 10 minutes" and then you just carry on with whatever you were doing and end up not doing what you were planning to do.
try putting your daily drugs on top of the fridge, that way you see them when you get up in the morning and hit the fridge for a glass of water/milk/oj/vodka/whatever.
I'm having trouble taking the oil...it makes me want to throw up
I generally will get the omega-3 by eating salmon occasionally. What I heard about this ingredient in fish oil is that it helps treat and prevent depression. I've been meaning to take a multivitamin suppliment, but I'm lazy when it comes to that. Other pills, especially the birth control, I'm much better at remembering to take them at the same time every day. That's an easy one to remember because I don't want to get pregnant before I'm financially secure to support a child.
Well, the oil is inside a capsule, the capsule tastes like lemon, but when you suck your way through it all the oil comes out all of a sudden and i can't stand the taste. I've only taken one and haven't touched them since. Maybe i could cut them open and put them in my food.
I'm off the sleeping pills, but i still can't sleep. My mind just won't shut up, i feel exhausted, haven't slept in 2 days...
One way to do this is imagine your mind is a slate and whenever a thought appears, it is like writing on the slate and you wipe it off. Listening to music you like can help too.
I can't eat fish. They give me headaches.
I am allergic to fish. I've heard rumours that are obviously not true. "Omega 3 fatty acids which you find in fat fish cures autism." A more proved rumour is that omega 3 fatty acids gives you possibilities to recover and prevent depression.
I drink fish oil right from the bottle, it drinks me... it's a thing we have.
That's bull. I know autistic people who eat fish almost every day.
red meat has higher levels of iron.
That does make it more healthy but some people who cant digest red meat (like me) find white meat the best meat
But lean red meat shouldn't have much fat or cholesterol. Also, high cholesterol levels are hereditary.
What about mercury in fish? Oh, now I will start a whole new debate.
Depends on what fish you eat. Oily fish like Mackerel has relatively high levels wheras tinned tuna does not.
