What bands do you guys and gals like? What kind of music? I enjoy punk rock and rock. Some of my favorite bands are Rage Against The Machine, Jello Bifrada (Spelling?), and Green Day. I really like bands that are politically involved, especially ones that hate George Bush, lol.
My favorite band is Stabbing Westward. I practically grew up with it, though.

I have very narrow musical interests, I tend to focus obsessively on a couple of bands I love. Most people find this very strange (thanks Aspergers  )
I love U2, The Beatles, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Jimi Hendrix (I can't listen to that guy and NOT want to pick up a guitar, no matter how crap I sound  ).
I also quite like Ravi Shankar (Harrison connection, of course...)
Hate mainstream pop music.
And could someone please explain to me how some stupid animated frog can make it to number one, singing an irritating mixture of an old theme tune, and that old annoying internet thingy... UGh....
Dreamer, I'm just like you in that I hardly ever listen to any new music. I might listen to only one CD, and no other music for an entire year before I move to something else. People find that pretty weird and obsessive, but I don't really care. This is some of the music that I've listened to in the last few years.
-Portishead (Dummy and portishead album)
-Lamb (lamb)
-Massive Attack (Blue Lines & Mezzanine)
-Moby (Play)
-Goldfrapp (Felt Mountain)
-The Pillows (random songs from the FLCL anime)
-george (Polyserena & Unity; an awesome Australian band who haven't seem to have made it outside of here)
-Missy Elliot (random songs; she's an extremely overrated Australian artist, but I like some of her stuff)
-and various songs from the game Final Fantasy
...and that's it. It's not really that small a list, but when you consider that I've rarely listened to anything else, it's fairly limited.
Metal and jazz, mainly.
Arr!
None of this Metallica crap for me though, more along the lines of: Slayer, Black Sabbath, Sleep, Behemoth, My Dying Bride, High on Fire, Electric Wizard, Nile, Exhumed, Gutrot, YOB, Gorerotted, etc.
I love most of the bands you mention, but I still love old Metallica, as well as Motörhead and Iron Maiden.
