"Lena" - 2 Belgen.
For the moment... "Hallelujah" by Rufus Wainwright.

(That song gives me chills. And I love the idea that Hallelujah can be turned into something sad.)
Away-Hannah Capps

My other current favourite, would have to be Get Inside-Stonesour
That one could almost be written for us auties lyrics below:

Seed, gotta let it grow, why ya gotta watch when I let it feed?
Better look into the mirror for the face you hide away, everyday
But I dont give a ***; I let it roll - I smoke the old
Gotta run, gotta rend, gotta maim, gotta make it through another maze
Stay away!

Please wring the blood from my hands
Dont pretend that you understand me
I dont even want you looking at me
*******, get inside!

Get inside, get inside (*******)

Christ, have you seen this guy? make ya sick, gonna peel away all the impurities
Cuz all you wanna do is keep curin me, but I dont give a *** I kill everyone
Youll be mopping up blood and guts and all the *** when Im done
Isnt this fun? gimme a gun and Ill tell you all the secrets I hide
Before I run!

Please wring the blood from my hands
Dont pretend that you understand me
I dont even want you looking at me
*******, get inside!

Get inside, get inside (*******)

Maybe if you look away, I can slip away, gotta get away (run, *******)
Right now I stare at ***, Im a heretic, but Ill never give you none of it
Tied up in the back of the lab, laid on the slab, got the gift of gab, whatchoo want from me?
I dont even know I got a damn disease, but I know you wanna kill me!

Please wring the blood from my hands
Dont pretend that you understand me
I dont even want you looking at me
*******, get inside!

Get inside, get inside (*******)
"What Hurts The Most" - Rascall Flatts.
There is a really good Jonny Cash version of that song, it's not often a cover does justice to the original but that does.
Currently playing inside Athie's head - "Hear You Me" by Jimmy Eat World.

"Van Diemen's Land" by U2

(Hold me now,
Come hold me now.
Till this hour
Has gone around.
For I'm gone,
On the rising tide,
For to face
Van Diemen's Land...)
Modern Day folklore - Ian Moore
Mika - Any Other World

"In any other world. You could tell the difference
And let it all unfurl. Into broken remenance
Smile like you mean it. And let youreself let go

I try to live alone. But lonely is so lonely
So human as I am. I had to give up my defences
So I smile and try to mean it. To make myself let go

Cos it's all in the hands
Of a bitter bitter man
Say goodbye to the world
You thought you lived in
Take a bow
Play the part
Of a lonely lonely heart
Say goodbye to the world
You thought you lived in
To the world you thought you lived in"

It's a great song. From a wonderful album of half serious, half light hearted pop music. There has not been such a good pop album for many years and it is done really really well.
"The One Who Knows"- Dar Williams

Time it was I had a dream/
And you're that dream come true/
If I had the world to give/
I'd give it all to you/
I'll take you to the mountains/
I will take you to the sea/
I'll show you how this life became/
A miracle to me/

(chorus):
You'll fly away/
But take my hand until that day/
So when they ask how far love goes/
When my job's done you'll be the one who knows/

All the things you treasure most/
Will be the hardest won/
I will watch you struggle long/
Before the answers come/
But I won't make it harder/
I'll be there to cheer you on/
I'll shine the light that guides you down/
The road you're walking on/

ect......

rossco Wrote:
600 posts! Party time! (Hi-fives myself, gets up and does a little dance, Toasts with my all to available bourbon, has a guzzle). OK I am fine now.

TongueTongueTongueTongueTongue

A multitude of happy razzies for rossco's 600th post. (And 612th post -- just 54 to go!!)

The only girl I ever loved
was born with roses in her eyes,
but then they buried her alive one evening, 1945,
with just her sister at her side
and only weeks before the guns
all came and rained on everyone.
Now she's a little boy in Spain
playing pianos filled with flames
on empty rings around the sun
(...all seem to say my dream has come).

Neutral Milk Hotel
Pikajedi, *** YES! that is a hell of a song, love it, don't nightwish have a new vocalist now, since they kicked Tarja out on her arse for being a ***?
"She reminds me of the one in school
When I was cuttin'
She was dressed in white
And I couldn't take my eyes off her
But that's not what I took off that night

She'll never cover up what we did with her dress, no
She said kiss me
It'll heal
But it won't forget
Kiss me
It'll heal
But it won't forget

She reminds me of a one I knew
That cut up the negatives of my life
I couldn't take my hands off her
She wouldn't let me be anywhere but inside

And I don't mind you keepin' me
On pins and needles
If I could stick to you
And you stick me too

Just don't break
Don't break my heart
And I won't break your heart-shaped glasses
Little girl, little girl
You should close your eyes
That blue is getting me high

Don't break
Don't break my heart
And I won't break your heart-shaped glasses
Little girl, little girl
You should close your eyes
That blue is getting me high
And making me low

She'll never cover up what we did with her dress, no
She said kiss me
It'll heal
But it won't forget
Kiss me
It'll heal
But it won't forget

I don't mind you keepin' me
On pins and needles
If I could stick to you
And you stick me too"

It takes a while but it really grows on you.
I reckon that voice will take some replacing, and  I believe the word you are searching for, Pikajedi, is "****", from what I heard, Tarja was a right arse to be around.
