What ISP is everyone using,what speed..?
I use NTL (2mb),and have had BB from them since 2002 as they have been reliable for me,in terms of connection reliability.
Have had a lot of trouble from them since April this year(eg,account deleting and put on a cheaper bb account several times,wrongly disconnected and account debited when they shouldn't have done,leaving me with several 25 pound charges..),if only Telewest/blueyonder did cable here to(pity they're merging).
Anyone use Bulldog DSL?
I'm using NTL too, but I'm on the 1mb plan (£17.99 a month). It is good, but about once every 3 months or so, there is downtime, which can often go on for several hours, which can be irritating sometimes. It wouldn't be so bad if the downtime only happened in the middle of the night!
Earlier this year, my internet stopped working for several days, and I started to get concerned, so I called the technical support line. Nothing they suggested could fix it, so they sent an engineer round, and it turned out that the modem was completely broken, so they replaced it. I haven't had any major problems since then.
plus.net - they have amazing technical support and gave a block of 16 static IPs for no extra cost
I run a few servers from via plusnet's connection and it's amazingly reliable
I'm with btinternet.com, the 500kb/sec basic package. Interestingly enough, the download speed is often nearly 2000kb/sec according to Broadband Speed Test.
Nonetheless, I am thinking of changing to Tesco.net as it is cheaper than BT and I buy everything else in Tesco.

I have to agree with Sparkle1984. NTL's support sucks a lot but still the speed is nice... plus they were the only provider in my area besides BT.
DSL providers should be national - though by the amount of bandwidth you've got I presume you're on cable.

Im using Comcast, which generally works okay except that they have outages kind of frequently.
Out here in spain we've got the best /sarcasm
€40 a month for 256kb broadband which is down about 1/5th the time (It was out for a week so far this month), and has inaccessible routing so you cannot establish port forwrding (which needless to say greatly limits what you can do, ie. no file sharing software or hosting)
Oh my, 40 euros for 256kb broadband is BAD. I pay 24£ which is roughly 35 euros for my 10Mb connection (1024Kb/sec download)
I was on the BT 512kb But they upgraded every one to 2mb awhile back. That'll explain why you have those speeds. Why not go and check you bills closer next time

It has only really gone down due to bad weather. Or faulty hardware, which was DOA. Took over a month to return for a replacement though X( Damn you royal mail! 1st calss too! The only time when i thought something was up with our phone line was that I kept loosing conection and became very irriated. But it turned out the phone wire needed replacing. As it wasn't the 'Master' socket in the house.
Also, Sky Broadband looks pritty cheap. Only if you have Sky in the house though. Although it has not been out long, i wonder if any oen has any coments on its service.
A couple of months ago, me and mum stepped down from 4MB to 1MB mainly because I don't use a lot of bandwidth like i used to. Now it is upgraded to 2MB for free.
I just did a test, and it seems that my speed is now 2mb (up from 1mb).
It is good how they upgrade the bandwidth without increasing the price.
I use bellsouth DSL, It sucks, Not reliable, Down all the time, And not as fast as they claim, But much better than dial-down
I have Comcast 6.0 Mbps for $42.95 per month. They also have a $52.95 per month plan which is 8.0 Mbps
