Entry level positions. These were all I could get. I usually would get hired, get some low pay and get "laid off" after a few months or one year. They would tell me it just wasn't working out or they were "down sizing." I would sometimes quit if I got too stressed out. I never working anywhere for longer than 1 1/2 yrs.
I used to get told that someone more qualified was hired even when I was grossly overqualified for the position. Then I would find out that the better qualification was that they were friends of someone who worked there. I can not ask friends to help me get a job because I have very few friends. I even have trouble getting personal references.
I would just like an entry level position and just stay there. Usually the problems start when someone decides that I can handle more and more work. But usually the problem is that I do get along with others or "misunderstand" something and disaster occurs.
Has anyone had any success using a "disability" sponsored work program that supplies a job coach or other accommodation?
