That is very scary...mainstream publicity for a highly dubious treatment and money going to make a centre for it. Also NTs like to copy celebrities, if their kid is having it others will be encouraged.
Greetings,
The support group I'm with would actually be in a position to fight something like ABA. The person that runs it kicked some professional butts on the radio yesterday over ADHD.
I think something AFF could do is build up a proper 'case' against it and take it to various support groups. Not sure how the more nt-run ones woudl react though.
The fact that my little girl's life wouldn't be the same as that of other girls kept running through my head and broke my heart
i think that says it all
perhaps we need to get some celebrity support ourselves (and of course we still need to find some kind of pictures/video footage of what ABA actually involves)
I'll be a celebrity soon, by tea-time at the earliest and next Sunday at the outset.
I just need to work out what I want to be famous for. Not singing; court order forbids it. I will have to make a documentry about something really controversial.
How about the reported explosion (or miscount) in the Asian panda population Lucas? I expect it was your doing, so why not do a film and claim the credit...then there's the porno market...
Just take care you're not chopped up and dessicated, and sold as an aphrodisiac...
Exploding Pandas? Now thats scary...
Cool explosing Pandas, must find some...
When I tell prospective girlfriends about how Pandas mate for an average of thirty seconds they begin to find the association I have to be a turn-off.
"Wait! Come back; I can actually do it a lot quicker now!!"
Pandas are so cuddly and cute though, who can resist them?
btw have you heard the "eats shoots and leaves" joke?
The one where a panda walks into a resturant?
Anyway, this article sounds full of ignorance and bribing. That's all I can say right now...
DEATH TO ABA!
The original version of the "eats, shoots and leaves" joke that I heard was about a panda and a prostitute.
As reviewer Olly Buxton from London says at Amazon.co.uk, "The joke's about shagging, Lynne."

I was under the impression that the 'eats shoots and leaves' was in reference to 'A Panda walks into a restaraunt, sits down, eats a meal, gets up, shoots the waiter and leaves without paying' or words to that effect. Having not read the book myself and having to rely on what a friend told me I can't say for sure but I really need to read this book cos' my gramma sucks big time!

Eats, Shoots and Leaves is about punctuation, not grammar. You'd be better off consulting Jack Lynch's online guide to grammar and style at http://www. andromeda.rutgers.edu/~jlynch/Writing/a.html or Fowler's Modern English Usage
I wasn't even aware of the difference! I told you it was bad
Thankee for the linkage

Back to the subject of the thread, here's a news story about a Northern Irish family who have secured funding for ABA-based home education.
