Ted Kaczynski probably does not have AS, what he had up until he developed paranoid schizophrenia was the prestages of schizophrenia, which may look very much like an extreme version of AS. No link has been established between AS and schizophrenia and even though its possible that a person may have both (there most certainly are). It is nigh impossible to make a differential diagnosis. I've read alot about Kaczynski, as I too once believed that he may have AS (given the brilliant mathematics he did earlier in his life, his social problems and so on). But now I feel that his life and the characteristics he displays isn't AS.
I've been trying to learn about schizophrenia as well for part of a psych project. So far I still know fairly little.
Timothy McVeigh didn't have AS either, he was just a psychopath, however his accomplice, Terry Nichols, whom McVeigh more or less forced and manipulated into helping out with the Oklaholma bombing, does have AS. It is believed that Nichols having AS made him vurnerable and unable to see what McVeigh was up to (not that McVeigh told him). But he did help out with things that made it possible for McVeigh to carry out this horrible act which killed so many. Terry Nichols is currently serving life behind bars and he will never be released.
I never even heard of Nicols.
It sounds like McVeigh was a compulsive liar then.

I think this is the way most Aspies get into criminal offending.
Either that or we might have a grudge we might want to take out on society.
That requires immense pressure.
Unlike, say, the Columbine shooters, who merely felt excluded, the two Aspies I've heard of who went postal were both severely bullied, and in one case, I know, on antipsychotics or antidepressants, some sort of "medication."
our condiditon is a perspection disability so we do see things differently. i have a tendancy to speak openly about everything and and be acussed soon of relsigous hatrid. i also if someone asked me what my sexial fantacy is would quite openly say whatever situation i am in. yea i have got into situaiotns with the police i can't handle. i also know if i witness soemting like a crime i do not go to the police because of my inability to describe things. i day dream so when the police ask me i often say i was asleep. i can distingish between a lie and the truth but when others say something happened i can't tell if they lie or truth and believe them. so if asked is that what happend i would reply yes. this means my truth changes. if someone describes a situation differenly to me all the time slightly changing it i will go along with it. this is another reason i will not go on the jury at court and that i should never entre i court room. i know people who have been kicked out of pubs because they missunderstand a situation. i myself have been threated with the police with sertian sorts of behaviour like when i stood and screamed once cos i was stressed and couldn't calm down. yea umm no too good.
and i don't believe for one minute that aspergers inproves with age. if anyting i seen it get worse in people. as children it isn't noticed as adults it is and that results in the feeling that you are an alien and depression. as a child i didn't know i was any differernt. now i do and the demands on me are getting harder and harder. because i know i can put in stratages to help me appear more like everyone else. but the condidtion hasn't changed one bit. it isn't a condition of childhood that gets milder.
