I think if everyone clubbed together and we got some charities involved then we could probably afford it.
How about asking famous Aspies for help? Also, islands and land can be qiute cheap, depending on the Geoghraphical location.
They would have to be charities that were prepared to take us seriously and not just think we were diseased and/or mentally ill.
Yes, that would be a problem. But there must be some that would take us seriously.
There would have to be a way to emphasise the positive aspects of being Aspie...
We could start by proving that the huge majority of Aspies have above average IQs. It might be hard to find someone to conduct the research but someone in AFF probably does that kind of work or knows someone who does. And Glastonbury town would be a good location.

It might be better to curtail one's ignorance, first.
Also, how about accepting the fact that Aspies are said to have both average and above average IQs, which is the same exact way the NT population is set up (some are average, others above average.)
Creating an Asperger Community shouldn't be that difficult, it just needs commitment. For one, you could pool money together so that you can get a loan to build something similar to an apartment complex. Living near a city would be better because land tends to be cheaper and there are lots of jobs opportunities around. Also, I heard that in Alaska you can still claim land because there is a huge amount of it that is not a reservation or inhospitable.
The things to consider about an Asperger community is maintenance and living standards, such as utilities, health care, etc.
Since I've been interested in permaculture and sustainability for some time, and have already been trying to meet people who might want to start an "intentional community" here in California, it would be a perfect evolution of that to include only Aspergians or Aspergian-like folks in such a community. At this point, though, given the future effects of global warming, California will NOT be such a good place for such an adventure... careful research based on predicted GW climate models will have to be done to select a truly sustainable and safe locale.
Has anyone thought about just buying Sealand in the short term? [You blokes in the U.K. will certainly know where that is.] Last I heard it was up for sale, on the market. It would be awesome for a free Aspie media frenzy... the media seems to just love to print *anything* regarding Sealand.
To get an average you need to have people below it as well as above it. Yes we have average or above IQs but I dont seem to have met anyone yet with a below average IQ whos an Aspie.
