No one ever told me about this.  Now that I have mastered the "Good Morning and How are you" and chit chat about the weather   skills,  I can work on some of the other job skills.
Interesting... the office politics section just threw me! lol I think I might have the weather thing down too good... people are'nt always interested in the difference between "cumulonibus incus" or "cumulonibus calvus" clouds.
I had to leave my position at work and take a lower level one because of all the office politics which I hated.

This would be a common thing too, I would imagine. I also disliked all the interpersonal politics at university (as opposed to the campus politics in general, which turned out to be quite interesting)

I opted out of a doctoral degree even though I had options in three different departments .... because I was worn out by the petty viciousness of the politics. Maybe if I could have seen an end to it, but it slithered all the way to the top of the food chain.  bleh!
It's ironic that even in universities which are said to be a haven for Aspies, some of us get discouraged by all the petty politics and don't finish or end up in a different field altogether. I wonder if humanities has worse politics than science and mathematics degrees. I didn't have the marks or the interest to do the latter but scored far above the cut-off for the arts degree I ended up doing. It wasn't too bad until the honours year and then it got awful.
