The brain is not the flag, don't worry. But it will be in the flag. It's a three-color version of an image of a human brain from the National Institutes of Health. This image can easily be changed to different colors with the hue shift function in any good computer painting program. The original image is in the public domain, so it's okay if I use it.
What I intend to make is a web of differently colored brains (smaller than the above image, of course) communicating with each other. The communication will be symbolized by different lines going to and from different brains, such as zigzags, dotted lines, and waves (By "waves" I mean something like )))))))))), not like a wavy line). Each brain will have its own unique color/communication line combination.
Above the web of brains would be the words "CELEBRATE NEURODIVERSITY" in embossed gold letters. Below it, there would be some smaller text, to the effect of "Everyone has a different mind, a different way of being. Don't suppress these differences. Accept and support them."
If this is appearing on a poster, below this setup would be a short explanation of what is meant by "Neurodiversity", and below that would be different headings, such as "Different people communicate(/learn/think) in different ways" with lists of details under them, such as differences in body language between cultures (For instance, did you know that in China, if you don't eat quickly and burp afterward, it shows that you didn't enjoy the food? Or that autistic people generally do not understand body language at all? Etc.). At the bottom of the poster would be, in the same font size as "Everyone has...", the words "Accept differences. They make the world colorful."
What do you think? I think this could help advance the cause of not only autistics, but everybody whose mind is not like the norm.
