but isn't their evil more often a result of ignorance?
remember that the CAN researchers believe they are doing good.
the NT's need education, not annihilation.
If I'm taking things too literally let me know - but I dont see at all how this could be meant as a joke and I find it very worrying.
This group aims to educate and challenge existing views. To post about voilent action undermines everything AFF stands for. I personally will not be associated with anything like that. I will leave before that happens.
Heres a little somethign for you to think about: as it happens people already have a very good reason to be suspicious of aspies that not even we can argue with. I am referring to those whos obsessions focus on the more inappropriate or dangerous things.
How many more reasons are you going to give them?
To everyone who has replied : analysing the outcome of any such ficticious action really does not help.
These are not my words. This was discussed at length when I first joined Aspergia.
And yes I'm paranoid. I've been paranoid for as long as I can remember. Self-awareness is a great thing.

I know many of you are questioning the need for such drastic action. Let me ask you this: Is it fair that you were taunted and bullied in school? Does it even hint of justice to you that we are all too often denied employment on the basis of Our Distinction rather than on the basis of our expertise? We have tried to make amends with the NT host, but they have only mocked us. The Age of the Carrot has passed, my friends; we are living in the Age of the Stick.
The NT has dealt every sort of cruelty onto our minds and bodies. We must thank them humbly and return the favor with interest. We shall storm their cities and assert our rights. We shall create a society cherishing equality among the NeuroTypicals and the Autistics. Those who defy our radical plan are to be extinguished without discrimination.
I have spoken harsh words, I know; so I would like to remind you that, just as not all humans are alike, neither are all NTs. NeuroTypicals who sympathize with Our Struggle are to be treated like fellow Aspies. We shall spare these enlightened few, for we are a merciful lot.
I thank you for considering this, the great question of our time. We must always be aware that time is not our friend and that the Struggle is ever fought. To arms, my friends, to arms!
Mon ami you or ANY member of AFF try any militant tactics of that sort and you'll give me the perfect excuse to come after you like a F-18 or Mirage and shut you guys down!.

However, I am confident that if the need is there for militant action- I can take Knaresborough all by myself and establish it as a base of operations without too much effort. Why, it was only last week I managed to out-flank the farmer's dog and pillage a rubbish skip.

Hehehe...this line cracked me up. My family is addicted to zebra cakes! My grandson would live off of them if we'd let him. What do they put in those things anyway?
This was a bit of a post that I put on another forum but I thought this would be a good place to ask the same questions as I didn't really receive an answer from the other forum:
I don't know about the whole upheaval/war thing but I do feel there is a real need for advocates for AS adults who are discriminated against in the workplace.
There are a few advocates for children to make sure they get a proper education (as is their right) in the US but Autistic employees have a right to fair working conditions, too, do they not? There are so many of us that could/would be working right now, if we were given the accommodations that are rightfully ours under the ADA (American Disabilities Act).
The only accommodation that many of us need is a little respect and UNDERSTANDING, which would cost businesses absolutely NOTHING. If they could just see that they would have in exchange, a very loyal, honest and hard working employee that could benefit the business in many ways instead of looking at a person that has difficulties in social situations and may have sensitivities to certain sounds and lighting. I think, just a little organized muscle-power can go a long way with bullies but autistics just don't have anyone to push back for them (in a legal sense) like many groups have.
My son and I have had a very hard time maintaining our employment because some managers/other employees misunderstand our ways. It got very bad for my son last year (he almost lost his job) because the UNION and other employees thought he was "kissing up" to management, because he always tried to do above and beyond what was asked of him. He was tipped off (by a manager) that they were trying to get him fired. How shocking! I always thought the union was there to help people in the fight against discrimination, I guess the rules change if you're autistic.
I stepped in and sent a professional but very angry letter on behalf of my son, to the union, telling them of my son's dx and informing them that my son had disclosed his dx to his managers, also. I informed them that my son had a right to be accommodated by law, under the ADA and that all he wanted was a little understanding. I also sent the union a guide on various traits my son had (and that many autistic adults have) explaining that he was definately not going to be the last Autistic they would have the opportunity to work with and told them I expected his disclosure to be treated as confidential. I hinted to an Autistic Advocate group that would be watching this matter but did not let them know that this particular group only had two members, so far. (Those members are my son and I)
It worked - they have backed off with their harrassment but I feel we need to Unite Together (kind of like the NAACP or the like) in the workplace and in the school systems, so we can keep harrassment and discrimination against Autistic Adults OUT of the schools and the workplace. Does anyone know of an existing Autistic Advocacy Group that stands up to businesses and unions that choose to harrass and discriminate against us in the workplace? A lawyer-type letterhead to a school system would probably initiate a sound response in a school lacking the appropriate rules such as zero tolerance of bullies. What do all of you think? I think the public should be educated on who we are but also educated on the fact that we will not be discriminated against any more.
