Amy, what is this thing that some of you are signing and how can i sign it?
From what i can gather it is something to do with chelation or that boy that died? Both of which I am angry about.

And this Jordell Bank thing sounds really interesting, to be surrounded by nothing but aspies for one day would be a really unique experience if you could that pull that off.

Oh yeah, and reading some of the old forums I could see, that you were subject to some nasty threats and abuse. I don't understand this situation, but i hope things are better for you now.
The thing with amalgams is that they slowly leak small amounts of mercury.  It's possible that some people with good detox systems may be able to handle that especially if they don't have a lot of fillings.  Taking them out is a different story, because then a lot of mercury is released at one time, in the form of vapor and small bits.  You would have to go to a special dentist who is trained in removing the filling(s) safely.  A lot of things are kept as quiet as possible to avoid lawsuits which I can understand because it could have devastating effects on the dental system. Several countries have limited their use--they're banned for pregnant women in Sweden and are now not being subsidized by their health insurance.  They're regulated in France, restrictions are underway in England, Japan has eliminated 'silver' fillings from their teaching curriculum. There are other types of fillings available now.
Amy, if you got that info from Stephen Barrett's (Quackwatch) article about the mercury amalgam scam Stephen Barrett, let's break it down.  His #3 reference, Bergman M. Olsson, says that the mean amount of mercury vapor swallowed (I don't know if 'mean' means per person or per amalgam or what) is 10 micrograms a day and assumes that 1 microgram will be absorbed by the intestines.  And what about the amount absorbed by other than the intestines?  That is not mentioned.  So if a person swallows 10 micrograms a day, some mercury is being released as attested by one of S. Barrett's own sources.  In the paragraph he writes that refers to this source he says 'Very sensitive instruments can detect billionths of a gram of mercury vapor in the mouth of a person with amalgam filings' which leads you to believe that that 'miniscule' amount is all that is detected which is not true. He is hoping that you won't do your own research (how is the average person going to understand technical papers or even get ahold of these papers)but that you will trust him, the doctor, and be swayed by the tone of his articles and his misleading statements and illustrations, such as the one he makes, 'Although the chemical bonds in water and amalgam differ [uh, yeah], saying that amalgam will poison you is just as wrong as saying that drinking water will make you explode and burst into flames.'

I've got to go but I'll continue this later.
But you're saying that there's no proof the amalgams leak, whereas  there is proof (even Stephen Barrett admits that).
Stephen Barrett is agreeing with you as respects fillings not being that bad which is why I used him and not a lot of sources.  I have looked at a lot of sources regarding the subject.  Sigh.  I have actually stopped talking to people about alternative medicine because so many don't believe in it and it's just frustration for me.  I think I'll go back to that stance, if anyone wants to know anything I'll answer.  (I just find it hard not to try and help people health-wise since health is so important, but this is not a health forum, anyway.)
