You didn't have the choice of: 'Love cats, but can't even consider having any due to severe allergies.'

Because that's where I fit in. We can't have any pets at all, doctor's orders. So, I don't even dare pet a cat, because if I do and forget to wash my hands right after and touch my face, I'm in deep trouble (sigh).
i AM a meow-mow

Cats rule and dogs drool (i guess that is true)
I talk to cats. I say meow in a cute voice, they meow back. Though i'm probably saying something really weird in cat language.
The meow-mows understand me
The meow-mows hail Gareth too
I can definately agree with you on animals - the human animal seems the most "impure" one around - corrupted by forgetting that we are animals too.
I like to say meow

Yes, and you talk to the meow-mows in their language (meows), and they talk back to you, they know you are the almighty one Big Grin

purr purr MEOW

I purr when I eat...  I dont hear it but my parents keep telling me I'm purring.  My cat is like a little me, but with more hair.  And less apt to bite people.
I have 2 cats, as well as 2 dogs. I happen to love both cats and dogs, and my cat Bert is very dog-like in that he loves to follow me and the dogs on our walks. I don't think I could get him to walk on a leash.

Here's Ahab:
