I love both cats and dogs, I come from a animal mad family and grew up surrounded by dogs, although I'm not so keen on the small yappy breeds (the high pitched bark hurts my ears) Can't have a cat due to allergy so I have a rescue greyhound - beautiful creatures the most cat-like of dogs, quiet, clean, elegant and contrary to popular belief they are very intelligent.
I hate cats, I absolutely hate them, until they're dead. If they're cooked well on the barbecue I absolutely love them, and I'm sure there are other good ways of cooking them. I'd love to see the domestic cat exterminated.
I am very fond of most animals though.
This is Shnitzel.
He was born on the campus of our college, and still lives there.
To me, that is the perfect way of "keeping" an animal.
He's free to go whereever he wants and when.
Sure he will grow fat in the years from too much love.
(everybody leaves him food.)

OK, if the picture doesn't come this time, I'll give a link to it.
When I was younger I did mistreat our cat, but I never did it again. I like to think I am different now. I hope the Max-Bear scale says I am decent. My current cat is every bit as friendly as that one (Caesar).
His own mouse?
He has his own Mac!
And I have to do all my work on a PC!
Aww! He's so handsome! I love tabbies (and all other kinds of cats too). Is he very friendly? People who are cruel to cats are one of the lowest forms of life to me.
Well, he's not over-friendly, especially to strangers.
But his favorite place is our Com-technicians worktable (that's where I took the photograph).
Oh, they're lovely. The tabby is very handsome too. A couple of nights ago, I was feeling down and when I woke up in the morning, there was a weight on me. It turned out that two of my cats were sitting on top of me. Even the very shy mother cat was letting me stroke her fur and she was purring like crazy. My third cat was lying next to me. Dad hated cats on the bed but it doesn't bother me. They are nice company.
Thanks very much,
the tabby is called Mercury, the grey- Pewter, they both have orange eyes like their brother, who isn't posted here yet. The Black- Gobolino. ( all but one of the cats originated from the same family & have some Siamese ancestry).
Welcome back Sheenalasvegas.
I've never heard of a cat doing that before. I have heard of a bunny rabbit a girl had, would pee on her brother because she wanted it too. I really wonder what kind of a home that was. Before she became a Christian she experienced [something] there that made her a. get a drinking problem and b. attempt suicide but she became saved and taught me that Christians who come from severe backgrounds can frequently be the most compassionate (and maybe protective of others, I don't know, I guess so). She was a social worker for a while.
Orlando was just trying to share. :-)
Chloe types on the keyboard by walking on it, maybe she's figured out that's how to get my attention when she wants something (food or water?)
The cat deposit seems excessive. I know some landlords have had trouble with pet owners but it should just be a refundable deposit and that's all.
I guess it was fortunate my brother paid the original $400. It was just before my 33rd birthday I adopted Chloe, and two months after mom died.
The others:-
Hamish

Ebony with orange eyes.

Ebony again...not at all photogenic

Gobolino

Tabitha...hamish's sister

Bastet...Gobolino's sister

Sometimes my cat will go to her room so I can close the door when I go to work, sometimes she looks at me like "*** you"
The repair humans still need to
1. Paint the ceiling where they fixed the (finally) leak last November- finally my best friend told his wife my previous management company (Equity Residential) was a slum lord. Well, they sold a problem (to Bainbridge) rather than fix it.
2. Less important, closet doors are off track
3. And the garbage disposal burnt out Monday
and they can do it better without Chloe introducing herself.
Chloe must be starving for attention. This morning she lies down right in my path. Fortunately I did not step on or trip over her. What do I have a Manchussen kitty?
Slum Lord? Just because I live with a high percentage of Hispanics doesn't mean they are poor.
You didn't have the choice of: 'Love cats, but can't even consider having any due to severe allergies.'
That is kind of where I fit in, but it's my dad and brother with the allergies, not me.
I recently found a cat in an abandoned house on my street. I brought her tuna every day for a while and she eventually started coming to eat it out of my hand, and letting me pet her. She's such a sweetie and I reaaaaaaaaaally love her. But Mom found out and forbid me from going to see her again. She would have let me take her home, but nooo cats in the house because of those stupid allergies.
It's not fair. T__T
