I love my cats. Unfortunately they are about twelve thousand miles away, which was tragic when my favourite (Sapphire, who used to travel in my sidecar to GoldWing treffens and go for walks on a lead) was killed by a motorist. She would come when called, and even call back as if to say "Hang on, I'm coming!"

We aren't supposed to have pets here, so we have a pair of rats who are just like kittens but less vicious (and easier to hide from the landlord Wink)
DH once got as far as the end of our lane when a persistent noise made him stop and inspect his bike - Jade (mother cat) was sitting on the back seat!
none - our darling tiddles got hit by a car a few nights ago.Sad
We feel sad.
Poor Tiddles. Perhaps Sapphire will do a 'Meet & Greet" in feline heaven.

(That's where I want to go!)
oh - thanks guys. We loved Tiddles, she was precious - my daughter and my husband have cried. I just miss her - I keep expecting to see her.
We have had her cremated - and we are getting an engraved box to keep her ashes in. Thanks all for your words of care!!
Give Chloe a tickle on her tummy from me Guess who.
I will mention it to my daughter Max - Smile
Cat # 4 will soon come to my house. We are a few people here who will take care of her together. Her sisters are Florence (she's growing up, mimicing the adult cats) and Molly.
After Sapphire was killed the children were devastated so my daughter got two kittens and allowed her boys to name them. The 'Pokémaniac' called the boy kitten 'Jolteon', and my youngest grandson called the little girl kitten 'Clank'. Rolleyes

They are growing nicely and have just been 'done'.

Anyway, my son-out-law* was driving on the back roads recently when he slowed down to avoid a little rock in the road - and it moved. He found a tiny tabby kitten just about three weeks old, eyes still shut, and her sister at the side of the lane who had a very swollen eye. Of course, he rescued them and they were very poorly. They were taken to the vet for treatment but inspite of all his efforts the vet could not save the bad eye. They are now home and have been named 'Ratchet' Rolleyes and Cyclops. Tongue
Apparently Clank is a little suspicious of them but Jolteon is making friends.
My daughter is now the 'mad-cat-woman'!

*That's what I call him! Big Grin
Cat # 4 is almost 5 months, and has been living with her mum on a farm. Her sister, Florence, have been here since she was two months. She was a whirlwind to the adult cats but has become very well behaved from being with them and from some human lessons. Seem cats are as easy to train as humans. They're both mimicing the behavior of the adults. Why is it so hard for humans to do the same...
Having told you about Sapphire, I thought you might like this picture of my step-grandson having a cuddle with her.

Moa made great progress today, allowing us to stroke her and coming up to us voluntarily and rubbing up against us; PURRING LOUD...
WfM they are lovely cats. Can't sleep?
I love cats.  I really connect with them, you know?  They're simple, easy to figure out, and they love you a lot.  And I really don't like touching people, something I know many of you can relate to, but I feel very comfortable touching my little friend.
Chris - here is a picture of my kitty, Mr Darcy.

I would feel sad leaving him on his own - so I got another kitty so he could have a friend.
First of all Mister Darcy was so upset and frightened - we ended up having to separate them - after a week of getting used to each other's scents and after getting Artemis neutered they are now best buddies. Mr Darcy will wash Artemis. I love to hear their clatter of claws as they chase each other across my wooden floors. Artemis is a british shorthaired black kitty.
They are my babies and I love them heaps.
